Pokke has that cuteness aggression for Cafe.

She can’t help it though. Cafe is just too cute and squishy to her. It’s not that she can’t take Cafe seriously, but when Cafe is right in front of her, her natural instinct is to squish her face. Pokke loves physical contact, and squeezing Cafe like a stress ball is one of the many ways she shows her affection.

It wasn’t always like this. When they first started dating, and even before that, Pokke gave Cafe a respectable amount of space. She was careful not to tread too much on Cafe. Their personalities were so different, and with Cafe’s apparent physical fragility, at least in Pokke’s eyes, she worried about overstepping and messing something up.

She learned pretty quickly, though, that Cafe is really just a sweetheart. She’s far more tolerant of Pokke’s antics and much more durable than she looks. The moment Cafe admitted she didn’t mind Pokke’s completely unprompted physical affection, it was over for her.

Now she’s lucky if she can make it through a conversation without Pokke reaching over to squish her cheeks, ruffle her hair, or pull her into a hug just because she looked particularly cute in that moment. Cafe might let out an exasperated sigh or quietly grumble about it, but there’s never any real bite behind her complaints. Pokke knows the difference though, and she always respects it when Cafe genuinely wants a little space.
