what started as a very basic idea for an Alice in Wonderland bracelet with a few charms last week very quickly descended into all-out madness on my part but it is finally complete and I am so proud of it

it ended up so heavy that I knew the elastic wasn't going to hold and had to add support chains so hopefully it's pretty sturdy!

aaaand lastly for tonight, I haven't touched Animal Crossing in forever, but I just had a sudden urge to draw my old Mayor in his signature polka dots and he just turned out super cute!

I also recently had a lightbulb moment of "wait. what if when drawing kids instead of trying to draw smaller adult people I just draw a slightly more realistically proportioned chibi" AND IT WORKED and I'm SO PLEASED bc I've been wanting to draw Smollarum SO BAD and he turned out adorable

chibis of Dhav and Wyn - I enjoy drawing chibis SO MUCH since I figured it out, esp experimenting with different levels of proportion and detail and trying out more dynamic poses with them!

and speaking of Wyn and dnd, I sketched this during a game the other week - a portrait that exists in-universe of her in her teens with her betrothed (it didn't work out lol) in which the painter definitely exaggerated how pleased she looked, she was DEFINITELY not smiling whilst being made to pose for this

added some lines to a sketch of Wyn from a while back to use in the dnd group I joined playing as her - this is honestly one of my favourite drawings (esp considering I drew it on a moving coach)

put some colours on Ala's fancy dresses! Took me a while to narrow the colour scheme down, particularly her older look - I knew I wanted an autumn/jewel tone colour palette, but I ended up with so many fun colour combinations to choose from!

The younger version was much easier, as I had the existing butterfly gowns from the game to base a lot of it on, and whilst I did come up with some options a little closer to the other, I like it being more cool toned with green accents over blue as a sort of signifier that she hadn't gotten her personal style figured out yet.

decided to design a fancy outfit for Veilguard-era Ala to pair with her Winter Palace look, and definitely didn't get emotional about her being all grown up 😭

we're all in agreement that it is a sin we didn't get to play dress-up with our Inquisitors for the Winter Palace, right? so of course I took it upon myself to design something that would fit amongst all those pretty gowns, but still be practical enough for running around getting into scraps

and I'm definitely not emotional that this is probably the first pretty dressy thing Ala's ever owned and that she probably spent that entire quest in the HEIGHT of gender euphoria
