jake-takes-a-vacation:
Jake paused, jaw dropping just the tiniest bit. A hopeful spark in his emerald eyes. “Which one?” He asked, nearly bouncing on his toes in the excitement of their discovery. The internet and the multiverse were two vastly different, but clearly interwoven and magical places.
Jake (this Jake) can’t help but smile at that response. Just like a mirror’s reflection, he too was bouncing beside them. Something about studying other versions of himself and how they lived in their timelines was nothing short of thrilling. “Your one! I presume you had a Dirk you’d chatter with here and there, just like myself, did you not?”
“But of course! What kind of awful, terrible, ludicrous universe would I live in if I didn’t have a dear Dirk of my very own to slap me silly, vicariously, through his blasted machines?” He paused long enough to stop scrolling through his phone, seemingly distracted by his own thoughts. Let out a tiny little hum. Did Jake- that one- have the same tattoo? Would it bring up too many bad memories to ask?
