Trying to get back into drawing, this took me so long to do, I forgot how hard drawing was, but I think it looks cute at least!

sloth Moth

This is a sloth moth, they live alongside sloths

femal moths lay eggs in the sloth droppings. The larvae of Cryptoses choloepi (sloth moth) live in the dung and newly emerged moths will later fly from the dung pile into the forest canopy to find a host sloth.

Our rose bush had this really wrinkly looking rose bud growing on it, and I got curious as to what might be causing it

After it started to bloom a little, it's petals changed very quickly as they took their time spreading out

And it only took about 4 days for it to open up, turned out it had two heads growing together!

I've seen this a couple of times before too, and it's so cool to see happen, you never know what'll happen if you don't wait for it!

Small elephant hawkmoth and pine hawkmoth visitors to my moth trap. All moths were released unharmed (moth trapping is nice and non-lethal.)
