Taylor Swift Announces New Song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ For ‘Toy Story 5’ After Weekend Of Teasing.
Following the history-making success of her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, 14-time GRAMMY® Award-winning artist Taylor Swift has announced a brand-new original song, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” for Pixar Animation Studios highly anticipated June 19 theatrical release "Toy Story 5".
Inspired by Jessie‘s ongoing arc in Toy Story 5 that began back in Toy Story 2, “I Knew It, I Knew You” also marks a return to Swift’s country roots, blending styles that have defined her record-breaking career as a songwriter and artist. The song will release this Friday on all digital music platforms via Walt Disney Records.
Over the weekend, billboards with the TS initials, which stand for Taylor Swift and Toy Story popped up in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco, Toronto, Mexico City and London. The songstress’ rerecorded 1989 (Taylor’s Version) album artwork also subtly changed to feature clouds in the background instead of seagulls. This morning, another countdown built up to the announcement at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.
