LOCKN' has revealed who Phil Lesh's Friends will be, and our jaw has hit the floor.
SICK
Listen to Friday's stellar Umphrey's McGee show which featured a mix of rarities, heavy hitters and classic rock covers.
This show was absolutely stunning. They come out second set and said, “you all picked a good night to come see umphrey’s...” and went on to say they went as a team to see Guns and Roses the night before and were inspired. You could definitely feel that!

Kadlecik has a run of shows at Gypsy Sally’s on Tuesdays, check out his most recent one:
Upcoming Shows and Whatnot
Been a little since I did one of these.
Summer is in full swing and we’ve already had a few mini festivals in the area. There’s a ton of audio for you to peruse from Blunderbuss and Merryland (that Lotus set is fire) and this weekend brings us Pature Palooza as well as Umphrey’s with the Main Squeeze at Pier Six Pavilion.
John K is doing some more Tuesdays at Gypsy Sally’s, Tedeschi sold out Wolf Trap, Jerry’s birthday comes up in August, as does Moonrise and Lockn’. And lots, lots more below the fold:
Looks fun
Artists like String Cheese, Ben Harper, Karl Denson, Yonder, Nahko, Grace Potter, Greensky and more made the inaugural Merryland Fest a great success!
Love the turntable stage, barely time to breath between acts!
Luna Light lineup additions
Just added:
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong • LTJ Bukem DJ • Muscle Tough • Flux Capacitor • Birocratic • Bunk Buddha •
A number of great jam groups took part in the Blunderbuss festivities last weekend!
Soundboards and photos from the awesome Blunderbuss Music Festival last weekend! So much to love at this one.

Luna Light Festival Announces Phase 1 Lineup
They were giving out a sneak peak to people at shows up north over the weekend, but today they publicly announced the phase 1 lineup. We’ve got Tipper headlining, and a bunch of great folks all the way down the line.
It is no secret that I’m a pretty big fan of how Luna Light was run last year, so I’m excited for this year! Tickets start at $137.
Kadlecik Returning to Gypsy Sally’s in June
To quote Gypsy Sally’s, “TUESDAYS ARE BACK!” John Kadlecik and the DC Mystery Cats are coming back in June for two consecutive Tuesdays, (the 14th and 21st). Tickets are on sale now!
Everyone Orchestra brought their all-improv sound to Washignton DC last weekend. Listen to it here!
VA Beach Funk Out This Weekend
Not sure how I neglected to say anything about this one yet, but there are still tickets for the VA Beach Funk Out on the 21st. Some great performers like Keller, Tauk, The Motet, and more.
Tickets are $35
Golden Gate Wingmen Return to Hamilton in August
These guys put on a hell of a show last time they were in town. They’ll be back at the Hamilton on August 15th. I personally loved how their voices worked together, especially during the end of that Shakedown Street. With John Kadlecik on guitar, Jeff Chimenti on keys, Reed Mathis on bass, and Jay Lane on drums, there’s a lot of talent packed into this group.
Tickets start at $25.50.
