something that i struggle to articulate right is how when dean was a young child, his whole world was his parents and sam. and he was made responsible for helping carry his parents marriage and relationship with each other. and then he was made responsible for carrying sam out of the burning house. and made responsible for so much of sam's care after that. and so he's been carrying the whole world since he was so small. and as his conception of the world got larger and larger, he just tried to fit it all in his arms.
