I can feel the warmth of the little kitten as it lays sprawled across the right side of my chest. It's fur tickles my face and as I run my hand across the tiny body it suddenly occurs to me how easily it would be to grasp her frame, and crush the life out of the kitten. Her bones are still weak. It would take only a second. My hand rests on her body, and I wonder if I am a psychopath or something. I release the kitten, who rolls over, mews once, and then scampers along to fight her sibling, Am I a monster, held back only by flimsy ideals and morals? Am I just a regular man, who posses the same thoughts everyone else does? Who knows, I surely don't. But the kitten will live for now.
