What do you mean they died? Look I don’t know what story you’ve been reading but Sirius made it to the Potters in time to get them out before Voldemort turned up. The war ended a year later after Dumbledore figured out the secret of the Horcruxes thanks to Regulus. Pettigrew and everyone who should be in jail is in jail and the Potters, Sirius, Longbottoms, Lupins and Weasleys are all neighbours. Get your facts straight.
