i live in the desert. it is so incredibly dry here that even if I were to drink a gallon of water a day, it would not hydrate me fully. this is the problem with the attitude that ‘water is best’. No, it isn’t. I am a lot more hydrated when I am drinking water with electrolytes like salt and yes, sugar, in it. Gatorade is the ideal hydrator in a place so dry that you are losing more water than you can replace with drinking plain water. There’s a reason that dehydration is treated with electrolyte solutions and not plain water. You lose more than water when you sweat or are in a/c 24/7.

sport drinks, milk, lemonade, juice, even soda and caffeinated drinks are just as good as water at hydrating you. drink something, anything will hydrate you. the myth about caffeine dehydrating you is a MYTH it’s not true!! The only thing that will NOT hydrate you is alcohol. But anything else–literally anything else, even energy drinks, even coffee, even even even–will hydrate.

Just drink ANYTHING, please don’t give up on drinking just because you hate water or the water out of your tap tastes garbage (or even isn’t wholly safe! Northern Midwesterners largely have shit tapwater that can even be so shit it is mildly or severely toxic–this is due to the history of mining in that area).

If you live in an arid region, such as the southwest, or you are sweating a LOT, please know that just plain water may not help replace all the moisture you’re losing to the sheer lack of humidity. You need to add electrolytes back in too, so pick up some sport drink or lemonade or sweet tea or whatever!! Your body may not have enough electrolytes to absorb plain water!

Let me tell you

I’ve been reading up on a lot of shit about how fans “manipulated” TBL out of TPTB’s original plan and turned it into something it’s not. So in terms of TPTB’s “original” plan, let’s get some things straight:

1. What “manipulation” took place, exactly? Are we not aware of the concept of subjective interpretation? As far as I’m concerned, your fans are free to read the show and it’s content however they want. To go as far as to imply Lizzington was some kind of “manipulation” conducted by fans is straight fucking garbage. What a fucking crock of shit! Lizzington tension was WRITTEN INTO THE PILOT’S SCRIPT. That was not manipulation, that was an intentional choice. TPTB knew what the fuck they were doing in the first three seasons, so do not throw that shit at my face.

2. Let’s be fucking real: Redarina was NOT the original plan. I can smell the fucking lies from miles away. TPTB — stop playing stupid and own up to your shit. I’ve got it spelled out for you in plain English: You were too fucking scared to follow through with Lizzington so you basically adopted a fan theory to get you out of the woods before anything serious happened. News flash: trans identity and gender alignment isn’t something you just throw together for a plot twist. Your attempt at this theory HORRIBLY misconstrues and quite frankly shits on the real experiences and lives of transgender people. I know perfectly well these pleas fall on deaf ears, so let me say this:

I get it. It’s your show. You can do whatever you want, but don’t pile the consequences of your poor planning onto the fans for “misinterpreting”. You nuked your own show and got pissed at the fans for saying they wouldn’t watch anymore. Don’t blame them for the mess you’ve created.

Have fun with the helltheory, I’m sure you’re extremely proud of yourselves for making up a cheap last-minute queerbaiting tactic. Your show is damaged beyond words. Sorry about it.

He’s been my country’s crime reporter almost since before I was born. Tonight around 19.30 pm local time he was shot in the head from close range and he is now in the hospital fighting for his life. Rumors that he passed away are already circulating.

This man has fought so hard against organized crime, has done so much for families and relatives of the victims and no matter what happens to him, I feel that he deserves this post. All my thoughts and prayers go out to him, his family and his loved ones.

For people in the US, this man extensively investigated the disappearance of the US teenager Natalee Holloway, who disappeared in Aruba in 2005. Mr. de Vries worked in 2006 with Beth Holloway on a documentary about the disappearance of her daughter. He also interviewed Joran van der Sloot, Natalee's alleged murderer.

I add my prayers for Mr. de Vries and his family. 🙏🏼
