I look up D-16 (from Transformers One) x reader and i immediately see sm*t; genuinely how does anyone know what any of these words are supposed to mean–
College should be free and you should be able to study “useless” degrees just for the love of learning
WE COULD’VE HAD IT AAAALLLLLL
Back on my Palia fix like I am every spring season >_<
With new updates, there’s just me stuck here wondering about the routes singularity 6 can go if/when they decide to extend villager quests. I can’t remember where I heard it but I think (?) they plan to add marriage someday
And like - wouldn’t it be cool if there are new heart events that build to it (since the romancables have 5 now, I would imagine the extension would go to 10. Basically few new quests and the 10th being marriage where we propose the Majiri way).
…but just imagine that for one of those quests (maybe the 8th? Since we get the romancable pin first before we give them one, it could be similar) that the candidate tries to do something ‘human’ for the player’s proposal. Since the player spent a lot of time and effort trying to understand how things work in Majiri culture, y’know? Tit for tat. Heart for heart.
Human history/culture is twisted a bit in Palia’s lore…but it’s fun to imagine what each romancable may dig up in their own research and how they’d try to spin it.
Like….
Hassian - who goes on a deep dive in humanity’s traditional courting. He realizes he can’t ask your parents’ permission, so he gets miffed and decides he should approach your Shepp instead (or if he is your Shepp, he goes to anyone you have a 5 heart completion with an offering. It’s hilarious, everyone’s a bit freaked out, but also so sweet). He also gets really into wedding rings and smiths yours himself, using the stone associated with your astrology sign. Not Majiri’s chosen star stones but the ones tied to our calendar/birthdays.
Tish - who takes the whole ‘new life, new home’ idea and absolutely rolls with it. She drafts schematics for a new house to be built on a separate plot close to yours. Her home can go to Reth, and your home can simply be converted into more space for your workshop/Garden/Etc. She also gets deeply invested in ancient human decor and creates an entire bedroom set based on your taste and her’s.
Reth - who cooks an entire feast. The biggest wedding cake you have ever seen. One with five layers and big enough for all of Kilma to share. You’re not aware its for a wedding though. He gets Ashura in on the plan (*gasp* He asks for help. Character growth) and devises some big excuse about the Inn hosting a congregate of watchers. Except you get first dibs of course. He’s sweating up a storm when you go to take a bite, but stop at the ring sitting on a heartdrop lily shaped out of icing. He practiced his piping skills for weeks to make that, by the way.
Jina - who came across records of old films made by humans. I’m talking the ones on tape projectors. Einar had them stashed in the far back of his cave. Nevermind that these are undocumented discoveries…but one of them is an old-timey, black ‘n’ white 1950s New York romance. It hits her that there is still so much to know about human customs, but they sure do smoke a lot of cigars after a spaghetti dinner…it’s super out of her comfort zone, but she enlists Hekla to help prepare something exactly like the film. She doesn’t have a ring (too nervous for that) but hopes that recreating it will jog your memory and possibly drop a not-so-subtle hint. She ends up babbling and asking you to marry her anyways (after choking on cigar smoke).
…I could keep going, but you get the picture. Man am I excited for that update if/when it ever comes. There is so much potential here for both what the romancables can do, but also whatever bs we’re going to have to go through in order to adhere to Majiri tradition lol.
Please don’t demand another heartdrop lily of me or duskwing butterfly. I beg. Jel, I’m looking at you bro.
Scooby gang redsign, redesign! I was looking through my old files and found an old character sheet for the scooby gang i drew so i redrew it! I changed some stuff but mostly it stayed the same...
Old designs under cut
"I don't ship poly Scooby Gang because I hc Velma as a lesbian"
You small minded fool! Observe!
I was thinking of a pride art challenge people could do with their OCs, because I thought it'd be cute! A queer/trans artist with their creations.
but then I realised that same challenge would be infinitely more funny with folks who have atypical or horror OCs
I love this Looney Tunes Rock Pepsi set 👏💖

you saw that?
making luke skywalker a disillusioned old man who turned his back on the galaxy and worst of all his friends was such a bad take bc yes it could be happen. put that much trauma / burden / loss on a person and realistically they’ll lose their spark. want to run away and give up. but star wars is a story of HOPE. it’s characters are larger than life. luke skywalker’s biggest superpower wasn’t his ability to use the force, it was his heart. he turned away from the jedi code for his friends. he brought his father back to the light with his love. the odds are never in the hero’s favor. they shouldn’t be able to win. the bad guy is stronger, the weight of responsibility is crushing, but the good guy prevails nevertheless. it’s not a character type that is supposed to be edgy or unpredictable or gritty. it’s meant to be a little cheesy and optimistic and hopeful. even when it seems impossible for them to be strong enough, they are. and they took that from us
and ultimately, was it worth it to choose the unexpected route? to make luke jaded rather than weary but kind? to say that no matter how bright someone shines or optimistic they are, the world will wear them down and turn them into something you don’t recognize? that your hero will disappoint you?
or perhaps it would have been far more fulfilling, both narratively and long term, to an audience of people who have loved the character for decades to say “he’s just as good as you remembered him”
The first movie, the one that INTRODUCES LUKE, is called A NEW HOPE.
HOPE.
As in Luke. Is the New Hope. Literally. Like… in case OP’s point wasn’t clear enough, let me spell it out.
Luke “there’s still good in you” Skywalker is 100% Padme “there’s good in him” Amidala’s son, and Leia “I recognised your foul stench when I was brought on board” Organa is a mirror image of Anakin “General Grievous, you’re shorter than I expected” Skywalker
had to put some respect on luke's ANH victory ceremony outfit
if skysolo not real then why was Han Solo at the gay bar on Tatooine huh?
There werent any women in that bar.
Obi wan took Luke to his first gay bar and Han was there with his bear
