Ahh, Bugs you wascally wabbit. Oh, how I love you. Sure hope you don't have any issues or anything...
-Though this goes without saying, he's the leader of the Looney Tunes! The Tunes (except for Daffy and even then itâs only occasionally) donât really question his leadership since he has a very hands-off approach in that he doesnât try to control themâŚwhen he ACTUALLY steps in and makes a decision for the group as a whole, you know itâs serious.Â
-Secretly, Bugs is stressed to hell and back. The wisecracks and laid back attitude cover this up, but it sometimes slips out when he isnât careful enough.Â
-Bugs has a LOT of social anxiety, more than he lets on. Every time he speaks to someone, it FEELS like he's just performing. He often makes jokes and/or witticisms in place of sentences/actual chit-chat. He's often questioning if the conversations he has with the Looney Tunes or other Toons are actually "real."
-Bugs is very emotionally distant and detached, probably the most of the Looney Tunes. He's a genuine tough nut for psychologists to crack (and that's if he lets them get close enough) as he doesn't really open up. Bugs generally has THE most difficulties of all the Looney Tunes sharing emotions and vulnerabilities. Some fellow Toons have noticed this and called him "static" in response. This gets to him more than he'd like to admit.
-He's also a big perfectionist. Everything he does HAS to be perfect no matter what. He can't slip up, he can't make mistakes, he has to be on top no matter what. The minute he feels like he's made a mistake? He spirals worse than you think.
-Bugs is secretly TIRED of being a performer. If it werenât the only life he knew, heâd just quit entirely and go into solitary retirement. But he knows he needs to be there. He knows he needs to be the driving force of the Looney Tunes because without him, everything will very quickly spiral.Â
-One of Bugsâ faults is that he can be very emotionally insensitive and callous with what he says and thinks. Heâs smart enough to KNOW which emotions are present and how to use them to his own gainâŚbut not enough to know WHY theyâre feeling a certain way.Â
-This is already canon, but I just want to emphasize that Bugs has a big ego. An ego thatâs even bigger than Daffy (though unlike Daffy, he keeps his well hidden). He's not just boss, he is the boss and he knows it. And while he's not over the top, he wants everyone and anyone to know that he really is among the best there is.
-Also most likely canon, but Bugs is a habitual and masterful deflector...especially when it comes to things he doesn't like. He can have a conversation about something one minute then flawlessly cajole it to a completely different direction in another.
-His personality in The Looney Tunes Show is basically him when heâs having an off-day. While he liked acting in the show itself, he was a bit annoyed it revealed what he was like when he wasnât in the mood to play the wisecracking trickster.Â
-Being the face and star of the brand, Bugs is THE most multi-talented of the Looney Tunes Crew. Anything that involves performance, entertainment, psychology, problem solving, quick thinkingâŚ.this rabbit can do it all. At the same time though, itâs hard maintaining everything in practice. Sometimes, he overdoes it and doesnât know when to stop.Â
-One of the few things he canât master though? The great outdoors. Basically anything involving the outdoorsâcamping, hiking, bikingâhe completely sucks at. You will have to DRAG him to get him to do anything of that nature. (Note: I got this idea from a fanfic that shows Bugs absolutely SUCKING at camping).Â
-One of Bugsâ hobbies is making wigs for fun. Not for humans thoughâŚfor Toons. The wigs he makes are utterly unwearable to humans. And not to mention that all of the wigs he uses in his disguises are lovingly made by himself. Sometimes heâll use Marvin as a test subject to try new wigs (being that Marvin is bald underneath the helmet)âŚ.who begrudgingly tolerates it.Â
-Bugs can and will look good in anythingâŚbut he refuses to wear jeans and denim. He thinks theyâre tight and uncomfortable, and doesnât understand why people even wear them.Â
-This is very much already canon, but Bugs enjoys putting makeup on to go with his drag disguises. However, sometimes he just wears makeup without the drag outfit for no reason other than he thinks he looks good. He doesnât wear human makeup though. He wears Toon makeup. Human makeup doesnât work on a Toon while Toon makeup can stay on any Toon for no matter how long. The amount of makeup he puts on depends on the appearance/persona he wants to project.Â
-Bugs is also good at putting makeup on other Toons. If Bugs really wanted to, he would be an excellent makeup artist.Â
-Bugs collects belt buckles. Why? So he can stylize them and use them in his drag disguises of course! You never know when a belt buckle may be the finishing touch for the perfect outfit.Â
-When heâs bored and has nothing to do, Bugs likes to paint his gloves a different color. The thing is heâs a fast painter and can change the paint his gloves are colored at the blink of an eye. No Toon has been able to catch Bugs in the act of painting his gloves so it just looks like he randomly switches his gloves color.Â
-Bugs greatly enjoys repurposing items in general. Nothing in his drag arsenal, closet, or jewelry box goes to waste. He will often use them in completely unexpected ways. Piece of jewelry? Instant lockpick. Long dress? Whip, lasso, or bullfighter cape.
-Surprisingly (at least to the rest of the Looney Tunes), Bugs is very into sock puppetry. He loves decorating old/worn socks and putting them to good use as different puppets. On rare occasions (mostly when heâs in a REALLY good mood), he puts on sock puppet shows for younger Toons. Itâs one of the few times Bugs feels like he can enjoy himself performing.Â
-Bugs DOES chew carrots not only because itâs part of the brand but also because itâs turned into as secret stress reliever for him.Â
-Bugs has a guilty pleasure for pineapple pizza and root beer floatsâŚas well as other foods considered cultural abominations. He knows he doesnât NEED to eat but he loves the sensation of it anyway. Â
-Bugsâ biggest pet peeve? Flattery, especially when itâs directed towards him. Sure, he PRETENDS to like it, but itâs only so they wonât cause a fuss afterwardsâŚotherwise he would tell them straight off. He views flattery as insincere and completely demeaning as a performer.Â
-Being so used to winning, Bugs is a VERY sore loser. Even if itâs at something minor. Games? Party competitions? The moment he doesnât win (even if itâs by sheer luck that makes him lose), it grinds and breaks at his ego and he will stop at NOTHING to correct his âlossâ no matter how trivial or minor.Â
-Bugs Bunny fears the unknown. He's used to winning and everything working a certain way for him...so the moment he can't predict something or improvise his way out, he panics. He also deeply fears losing control and losing the rest of the Looney Tunes.Â
-His relationship with Daffy isâŚcomplicated. They tease, they bicker, they fight, they pushâŚbut they genuinely would HATE for any of it to stop nor would they know what to do without the other. Bugs THRIVES from Daffyâs reactions, he thrives from Daffy himself. Daffy is genuinely the closest thing he has to an equal in the Looney Tunes world. Of course, he would never admit or show this out loud. When he said in the film "Back in Action  âDaffy always comes back. I just tell him how much I need himâŚâ he saw it as a joke, but subconsciously meant every single word. Itâs the closest heâll ever get to actual honesty about his feelings towards Daffy.Â
-Like whatâs shown in The Looney Tunes Show, Bugs gets on really well with Porky! While Bugs doesnât say it often, he genuinely appreciates Porkyâs calm and grounding nature compared to the rest of the Looney Tunes. Also, Porky is one of the ONLY two Looney Tunes (the other being Granny) that can give Bugs advice and have Bugs genuinely listen.
-Heâs definitely good friends with Mickey Mouse, despite disliking the Disney company and what itâs grown to become. They bond over being mascots and make jokes about having overloaded schedules. Bugs FIERCELY defends Mickey from anyone that says heâs âa puppet of Disney.â
-Has taken on a personal mentor role to the Warner Siblings. He gives them good advice and makes sure theyâre not too in over their headsâŚeither way, both parties have a love for trolling and causing trouble for the execs together. Bugs likes each of the Warner Siblings equally, but will privately admit that Yakko is the most similar to himâŚespecially because of how close they hold their true emotions to their chest.Â
-He has a lot of respect and reverence for Betty Boop. The two like to have frequent coffee dates together or go over to Bettyâs house and swap outfits. Sometimes, Bugs âborrowsâ Bettyâs accessories for test runs. Betty knows he does this but canât find it in her to get mad at him. Besides, the accessories are always returned to her in good condition (mostly).
-Bugs and Tweety have a bit of a rivalry with each other (no one knows if it's friendly or not). They know they're probably the two most clever Looney Tunes out of the group and often try to outsmart each other for enrichment. It always ends in a stalemate.
-If thereâs one person that Bugs absolutely HATES and cannot stand, itâs none other than Cecil Turtle. Cecil consistently makes Bugs look like an absolute fool every time they meet (both on and off screen) and it has Bugs absolutely SEETHING. Bugs and Cecil's relationship can best be described as one-sided hatred vs an immovable object (that finds his reactions hilarious and just doesn't care.).
-He has no labels. He IS the label.Â
