13 Reasons Why: A Netflix TV series

A story of a special girl with special needs and attention.

Everyone who have watched this series would might think that the girl who ended her own life had a general anxiety disorder and major depression that she have acquired through her highschool year. But thinking on the other side of the story, Bullying and lack of support system from family and friends are main trigger of her suicidal.

Highschool life is the most challenging stage of life for young adolescents. It is the stage where they build peers, romantic relationships, and develop self identity and personality. Strong support system from families and friends is very crucial to be able to succeed at this stage.

In Hanna’s part, she lack the very important role of her parents in providing her the support and trust that she needed at this stage. That is why she succumb to a self-worth crisis and eventually lead to a major depression that caused of taking her own life. Worsen by the peer pressure she encountered at school and struggling on making friends and having trust issues with people she met, she hated life and lose hope of making everything right.

Sometimes, in our lives, we are all like Hanna.
