Hi Tumblr! I'm Celia, one half of Jamwitch Games.

Not long ago, I found out about The Roottrees Are Dead on Tumblr, and I loved it so much it inspired a lot of our recent games in the narrative deduction genre. So I decided it's only right to make a Tumblr for Jamwitch.

Our current project is The Archives of Trevosa, a mystery game where you'll learn to translate Trevosan words in order to discover the stories hidden in the archives.

just added The Archives of Trevosa by jamwitch to this list, a really fun game about filling out details of a made up family tree by translating historical documents in the world of Trevosa. I also highly recommend some of their other games like The Daily Spell, and My Friends the Monster Trainers!

Project announcement: "The House of Wisdom" (working title)

"The Grand Library has fallen. Centuries of accumulated knowledge, lost overnight. Seek the old city, learn its language and its history, and uncover the truth before it's lost forever..."

A few weeks ago I found the motivation to start work on one of my Big Projects: a language puzzle game inspired by Chants of Sennaar, Epigraph, and more recent games like The Archives of Trevosa.

I have a few design docs already, and I assembled a simple prototype in Godot to get a feel for the mechanics (which may or may not have also been an excuse to use one of my custom Arcali fonts), but most of the work required will be in writing and puzzle design, so the final product is still a ways off. Stay tuned!

Came upon this fun short game in itch, you fill out the family tree of a kingdom by looking up documents, but many of the kingdom's terms are untranslated. Start of the game feels overwhelming with the terminology but once you work out what some common terms mean and make some connections it gets easier.
