Jane had never been one to yell, but she found herself SCREAMING that day ( even when she thought she had no voice left ) and when she was next to Esperanza, when she saw her in pain, she couldn’t help but YELL once more. “Please!! Stop it!! I’ll ... I’ll do something!! Just stop hurting her!!”

HONEY WEASLEY.
“WE were, but Wanda was apparently not,” Honey answered, wincing as the dragon bit her again. Easing the small creature off her shoulder, Wanda took off and flew a few circles around them, landing by Jane’s feet. “I think she’s starting to get hungry.”
Jane looked down at the dragon, deciding against taking a quick picture, “you don’t ...... think she’ll try to eat me, right??” Jane half-joked, though she knew Wanda did ACTUALLY like her, at least, she hoped she did. “Let’s go feed her then, we don’t need her to bite your finger off, hun.”
TEDDY LUPIN.
spotting jane was refreshing, as the younger girl’s presence had the tendency to put a smile on the older boy’s face. jane was like a sister to teddy, and her kindness truly reminded him that while they were few and far between – good things were still around. he looked down at her as she looped her arm with his, “ well, i can’t really say that they’re even worth the use of a brand new canvas, jane. this isn’t magic, just teenage stupidity. ” he shrugged, “ hmm. i can’t tell if you’re asking innocently or if you mean, ‘ oh, teddy ! see any cute girls ? ’ but, to answer both of those: by far the most interesting things here are the stars, and i can’t say girls who are so plastered they can barely stand up straight are my type. ” he replied, letting out a small chuckle.
Jane hadn’t wanted to laugh, she really didn’t, e s p e c i a l l y at some of what he said ( though she knew it was right ), but she couldn’t suppress the giggle that came up as she tried to cover it with her mouth. At least it was with Teddy, her brother in all but blood ( though, what did blood matter in terms of family to adopted children? Maybe to some it meant everything, there were wars being fought over the very thing, but to Jane it meant nothing. She was lucky to know who her FAMILY was. ) “I would never be so HETERONORMATIVE as to just assume girls, Tedward. I mean all genders, a n y o n e, if I was talking about that, of course,” she teased back, though he had a point. “I’m happy they’re not your type, in any case, I’d have to stage an intervention if they were.” Turning her head towards the stars, she did find beauty in them as well, “not bad, I could use a little bit more moon though.”
ROSE FLINT.
No just repeat what you said, i zoned out.
“Well, erm, to put this as delicately as possible -- THE RASH ON YOUR BUM -- that you may or may not hypothetically have of course -- isn’t contagious. It’s most likely from the detergent change. I know it could look scary because of it being raised and red, there is cream you know. I’ll take a look if you need in the infirmary?? Or Madame Abbott could.”
As she scanned the crowd, she looked for someone who she knew would be just as uncomfortable at this event she was. While she wasn’t completely uncomfortable, it really wasn’t the type of place Jane wanted to go. Besides, people seemed to be getting rather ... talkative. While she was always there to lend an ear they seemed to be nonstop, as in, every thought in their head seemed to just s p i l l out. Jane just figured they were all drunk, but made sure to keep an eye out as she waded through the crowd. Finally getting to him, she gave him a smile and looped her arm around his, “I see you’ve found your FAVORITE corner of the Astronomy Tower. Too bad you can’t get an easel and just start painting all this malarkey.” Did Jane want to leave? Sure. But she knew she couldn’t, she was bound to the party as long as her loved ones were there and between Daphne, Rhys, Annette ( and more, of course ) she had a lot of people to look out for. “See anything i n t e r e s t i n g to you, Teds??” Looking at the world through someone else’s eyes was after all a gift, and hopefully it would help pass the time.
ANNETTE BARDON.
Annette grinned, “Aw, Janey, it’s not really all that—-I mean, you’re plenty brave too. I think being kind takes a lot of bravery, okay? Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.” Jane was family at this point, even if it would be a few years more before it could be official; the Longbottoms had made Annette feel welcome from the moment Rhys had brought her home. “Oh—yes, ugh, of course he was curled up on Rhys’ bed, acting like I hadn’t been crazy with worry for him for the whole day—-such a brat, and Rhys tries to deny it but I know he thinks it’s funny that Bernard likes him more than me! How do we put up with him, Jane?”
Jane laughed, and tried to dismiss the subject with a happy, “thanks,” even though it was still floating around in her head. Annette was right, that she was strong in that aspect but sometimes she wondered if only she’d been more aggressive, something, she’d be able to help fight in the DA and not just heal. Not that healing was anything to be ashamed of at all -- it was her PASSION -- but it wasn’t the same. “I don’t know how we do, just with a lot a lot of love, maybe also because he’s the best big brother?? That helps. Him and Elena can be so cheeky sometimes, it REALLY goes with our last name.”
CASH HAMILTON.
“And right now you wanna kiss me.” @janepenelopel
“ ....... ....... ...... ..... ..... -- Cash, are you alright?? I know you got hit in the head or SOMETHING but, that’s a very very bold statement. Possibly a delusion.”
RHYS LONGBOTTOM.
“Bernard.” He grumbled as the chubby cat tried its hardest to keep up with him in the hallway. A frown full of misery had found its way onto Rhys’ lips as the soft meows had grown into full on shrieking until his attention was on it. “If anyone wants a cat, this one is free to a good home!!” He yelled before scooping up the now purring cat whom had gotten exactly what he wanted much to Rhys’ dismay.
“He keeps running back to you, doesn’t he??” Jane commented, a small smile on her face as she went over to pet the cat, finding what he had said about giving him away for free, amusing. “You’d NEVER do that to Bernard, separate him and his mum. Just give him to me Rhys, I’ll look after him. But if he decides that he wants to go back to his da, I can’t stop him, you know. Auntie Jane is only fun until her shifts in the infirmary start.”
RYDER BELLAMY.
Ryder smiled, in part because he could almost see Annie tackling him, in part because of Jane’s unwavering faith that he would get his ass kicked. “Well she would try.” He scoffed. “I’m appalled. It’s not your surname, per se. It’s Rhys’. You know I love you. Also, it is not an obsession, it’s a healthy preference.”
“She would succeed, but a d m i t t e d l y, you’d never be as mean as to hurt her so, you ARE sort of at a disadvantage,” Jane admitted, the smile still plastered on her face. When he took a jab at her brother though, her smile dimmed but only a little because she knew it was all ( mostly ) in jest between them. “Ah, I see, so what do you propose my last name should be then?? Longbuttox??” She hummed for a moment, thinking, “now be honest: which do you love more, your favorite cheesecake or me?? And then quidditch and cheesecake??”
ROSE FLINT.

“I was trying to answer the question you asked but in SCIENTIFIC terms, I should probably simplify it then??”

“Marley ... -- “ Jane started after she examined the other’s shoulder, seeing a clear cut along the top, “I know you will be, but I won’t if I don’t CHECK THAT OUT and dress it or at least get Madame Abbott to, please?? I mean well. Slytherin needs it star chaser, you know.”
RYDER BELLAMY.
Ryder snorted. “She’s five feet tall, I’ll take my chances.” The look of fake disgust he managed was quite laughable. “Longbottom? Don’t make me vomit, Jane. I had cheesecake for pudding. You know how much I like my cheesecake.”
“You’re lucky she’s not here, otherwise she’d end you just for that comment, Ry,” Jane stuck out a foot in his direction as a sort of faux kick, “I’m so sorry my last name, LONGBOTTOM, makes you vomit, Ryder Bellamy. I’m very proud of it, though, and fine I’ll stop saying it but only because of your cheesecake o b s e s s i o n.”
