Closed Starter || Kane, Jan - Hesitation
Kane was going to just let it pass. After all, there was no reason to start something. But the easily agitated wolf simply couldn’t pass up an opportunity. Besides, he knew the citizens of Grayspire like the back of his hand. Whether he’d ever talked to them or not, he knew the faces of all that lived and worked around here. This was a new one. “You’re new here aren’t you, mutt?” He wasn’t sure why he used the word. If anything, Kane was more deserving of the word mutt than Jan. Kane was young in his wolfdom, and way out of control. “Don’t worry about it, we love fresh meat,” he chuckled, leaning against the door-frame, blocking Jan’s entrance.
Seems like he’d attracted one of those types again. He could read the body language of the other man, and realized he thought messing with him was more worth his time than not. A moments worth of anger was readable on Jan’s face as he realized this, but soon it was gone. To top it all off the other man smelled like wolf, a stronger one at that so he didn’t want to give him any reason to lash out. Instead, Jan just sighed. Somehow his resolve to enter the pub had come back the second the man had wedged himself between the entrance and the omega. “Mutt...,” Jan just repeated tiredly and questioningly, face scrunching up judgingly, “look, I really don’t think you should go around calling people that.” Another huff and he continued, “Also I am new, but I don’t think that matters to you now. I’m not... what you call fresh meat here or whatever.” All of it came out more annoyed than Jan had wanted, and immediately he looked like he wanted to eat the words he’d just said.
