Just a couple things I ate in Shitokitazawa! There was a curry festival going on so the first picture is miso curry with rice, vegetables and a side salad. The second picture is fresh grilled sea scallops. The third is a grilled silver fish, but I don't know what it was. Everything was so yummy!

3 day weekend.

Another holiday is this Monday, so the school is closed and it's a 3 day weekend!!! but our boat trip was cancelled due to Typhoon Vongfong! if it ends up being pretty bad we might even have off Tuesday! UGH stupid weather! I have midterms this week as well.

Doctor visit!

I went to my first doctor visit in Japan! Well, I was hoping I’d never have to go but I’ve been having some tummy problems and I wanted to get that checked.

It went extremely smooth. By living in Japan you HAVE to register for national health insurance and you receive a little card. I went to the hospital around the corner from Temple and I was seen fairly quickly!

The procedure was must the same as any doc visit, fill out papers, wait, see doc and get examined (in my case I got blood taken) so...wait for results, go to pharmacy, go home.

In all it took about an hour and a half and cost me like 30 bucks (visit and medicine). I got three tablets to take daily after each meal. I’m looking forward to shaking off this tummy bug!
