I've been pretty busy over here trying to get a bunch of projects and things wrapped up before a tiny-human arrives in a week or two, but here's some sketches from the last couple months that I liked. Which is your favorite?

More progress on this croc for my workshop! Painting is in Procreate, animation in Blender.
š Not quite done yet, but here's a quick peek at a little croc guy I've been working on as a demo for a workshop I'm teaching this month [Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt // retopology in Cozy Blanket and Blender.]
š¤š Playing with some more 3D painting in Procreate and a bit of animation in Blender.

Happy (northern-hemisphere) spring! I've been busy with some client projects, so not a ton new to show yet, but hereās a sketch I liked from this week.
More sketches: a frog, a dog, a running boy, a windswept girl, a pocket mouse, a nice looking astronaut, an ineffective helmet.
Some more sketches from the last couple of weeks playing around with line work and color.
A shovel and snake boy (BYO story hereāfeel free to share if you have a good one!) I've been experimenting more with integrating some line work into my process. It feels like my finished work often isn't quite as expressive as I'd like to to be, and I'm hoping this could help. BUT I've been avoiding outlines for so long that just slapping them on there feels kind of weird. This is starting to feel a bit closer though, and that's pretty exciting to me!

I've been slowly working on this guy on and off for a while to try and work out the full process of making a 3D character, rigging it, and animating it. Some of the steps are fun and some of them are the wooooorst (weight painting, I'm looking RIGHT at you), but it's fun to see this start to come together!
Squiggle Sword ć°ļøš”ļøš Not really sure what the story is on this one! Itās been a while since Iāve drawn a full-background style personal illustration though, and this sketch has been waiting very patiently for many months now while I fiddle around with work and 3D stuff.
I am pleased to let you know that there is now a āCHOMP!ā button on my website over at jaromvogel.com. Also this fish and the other 3D models on my site *should* now be viewable in AR on iOS or Android devices. (Please note that the āCHOMP!ā button doesnāt currently work in AR, alas.)
Had fun making this illustration for Viture last week featuring some thinly veiled references to a video game franchise I like š

Process video for an illustration I created for Vectornator a few weeks ago. SPEAKING of which: Iāll be doing a live draw on their YouTube channel tomorrow at 9 am PSTācome hang out or heckle or whatever!
Some kind of Christmas beast I guess? Not sure if Iām done with this yet, but hereās some painting process for it anyway. (Model made in Nomad sculpt, Painting in Procreate again.)
Playing with something a bit different stylistically againāno selection tool involved in this one! (But like, still with a sword in there obviously, letās not get crazy here š”ļø)
