He simply lets out a dissatisfied groan to that, picking the bunny up and nuzzling his face into her more. Only then does he narrow his eye at his partner–evilly looking over the rabbit’s fluff.

“Now why would I want to try Spanish food, Heinz?”

A hand covers his mouth to conceal laughter, although he’s obviously humoured if the glint in his eyes if anything to go by. Maybe it’s best to change topic, just to avoid any more daggers getting shot at him.

“--Oh! Does she have a name yet, by the way?”

“Booooth…” He whines, hugging Heinz’s head in the process too. Now they’re all stuck together, no moving. Matthaus has banned it.

“I’m not a picky eater…! Sort of,” that’s a god damn lie, and he knows it. “I just… don’t like… most foods. Since, jou know, not eaten most of my life so, uh.” Throat is cleared and that’s the end of that, so he decides to start fiddling with the bunnies ears instead.

Again, he doesn’t flinch--not that he can. “Then we can do both! As long as I’m the one paying for everything, that’s fine with me.

So you’re saying you’re a picky eater,” he laughs, making no attempt to sound serious. “Think you could risk trying something new, though? Like... I dunno, Mexican, Italian, or--” For a split second, he flashes an impish grin.

“--Or Spanish food.”

“Yeah… Isaak and her get on well, so jou bet.” He huffs–in a happy way, though; moving his won face downward so he can gently rub his cheek over the rabbit’s fur.

“I got a little tipsy last night, so I didn’t take jou up on the offer, but I’d like to go out later… if that’s… still okay?”

Matt was a child, and now it’s more apparently than ever. Still smiling to himself, he nods gently in support to try not to disturb the creature and its owner too much.

Ah. Well, that’d explain that. But it’s hard for him to stay disheartened for long.

“You... you actually wanna go out? Well, sure! I wasn’t expecting you to say ‘yes’, really. Um, you pick? You’re probably a pickier eater than I am--unless you just want to go for a drink? Really, it’s your choice.”
