@ stray kids writers or people needing authentic australian jargon
as an australian, i often cringe at fics setting them selves in australia and just the complete inaccuracy of slang some people use. so i’m here with 15 authentic aussie things that australians often say or talk about:
S’carn’on?: “What’s going on?” Australians speak fast, so short common sentences like these usually have words blending together. S’koin’on is another example of it.
Example;
“Hey, s’carn’on?”
“Oh, nothing much.”
Yeah, nah: “No.” this is often used in a casual sense, but Australians are casual with many people.
Example;
“Would you like lime with that?”
“Yeah, nah.”
Nah, yeah: “Yes.” again, casual. But the difference with this is that it is usually used as a recovery after being sarcastic (which is 70% of our dialogue I swear).
Example;
“What’s up?”
“The sky?”
“…”
“Haha nah, yeah I’m good.”
The Milo debate: Australia is divided into people that put Milo on the bottom and people that put it on the top, and most are very opinionated about their Milo preferences. Use this as a petty argument thing.
Example;
“Your argument is invalid.”
“Why?!”
“You put Milo first, not milk.”

The Good Doctor Fandom: Clearing the Air
In regards to the recent posts made about/against melendaire , I’d like to state a few things:
The Melendaire fandom (at least the one on tumblr) does NOT condone any toxic shipping. I personally do not promote hate against other ships even if that ship is not my preference. Hopefully, everyone is doing the same. At the very least, I can assure everyone that the 91 members of the Melendaire group chat are NOT trying to start any wars or spread any hate about Breznick or Limlendez or ANY ship. We might not like those ships, but we will not berate anyone for shipping them.
This brings me to another point. Please, anyone in the fandom, learn to respect people’s ships. There is a fine line between expressing your dislike for a ship and criticizing others for shipping it. You might think it’s not a ship that makes sense or a ship with chemistry, but saying that other people are wrong or that they’re awful people for shipping it is ridiculous. Call out the specific instances of toxic behaviour, NOT the entire ship fandom.
This applies to people in the melendaire fandom too. It applies to anyone in the Good Doctor fandom who is being a toxic shipper. Regardless of who you are, let people enjoy the parts of the show they want to enjoy. If you refuse to stop posting about the parts you don’t like you’ll never be able to fully enjoy the show and you’ll end up miserable. Please, everyone in the TGD fandom, live and let live. Create a positive space for people to create their content, and for you to create yours. Ships are meant to be positive things, why spend time publicly bashing other ships that you don’t understand
Took this while watching the newest episode.

So a few months ago. Like 10 months ago thanks to Marvel I got hardcore into Norse mythology. I would read what I could online. I own Neil Gaimans Norse Mythology and another book on Norse myth (can't remember the name but it's a BIIIGGGG book)
For some reason I am extremely drawn to Idunn. Along side being drawn to Idunn, I also find her relationship with Loki interesting.
It disappoints me that there is very little on Idunn. I find her very intriguing.
Along side this I'm being drawn into Norse paganism. I still really don't know where to start.
I'm interested in talking to others with similar interests in Norse gods. I want to learn more.
