Bio ✰
Jason was born in New York City to Choi Doyun and Erica Collins. His family moved to Seoul when he was 3 years old so he could learn more about his heritage there and learn the language better. His sister was born a few months later, just after Jason started school. While in Seoul, Jason found himself adoring the models on the covers of magazines and dreamed of doing that himself whenever he got the chance. He didn't think his parents would be all for the idea but it didn't stop him from dreaming even while he studied hard.
As the years went on, Jason brushed up on making a modeling portfolio as well as started uploading on YouTube. He wanted to be able to make videos that he was sure other's would enjoy. Usually it was vlog like content but he in-cooperated other activities like gaming whenever he got the chance. He just wanted to show off all his interests and hoped others enjoyed it in some way. The attention didn't start coming till he got to college which he found himself moving back to New York to finish up.
His first modeling gig came to him after he was scouted on the street by a company that he had admired for awhile. He learned a lot and even though it wasn't a huge modeling gig, it opened doors. Soon he got to appear on billboards and even magazines which he only dreamed of. Even got invites to model in runways for big names in the fashion industry. Though even with all this happening, he still uploaded on YouTube when he could, not wanting to give up on his channel and disappear on his audience.
He later moved to Aurora Bay where he resides now. He's still grinding away with his work but tries his best not to burn himself out. He's taking every chance he can to make new relationships in a new area as well as focus on keeping in touch with his family as well. He's just doing what he can not to stay in his own bubble. He's often found around somewhere or in his home.
"The only problem with the cat cafe is I feel like if I go in there I'll come out with adoption papers and a cat of my own. My daughter is obsessed with my friend's cat." Felix laughed softly. "I know she wants one of her own so bad, so maybe one day I can adopt one for her... just not anytime soon." Felix wanted his custody arrangement with Paedyn to change before he got her a cat, because he felt it would only make her sad if she couldn't see the cat more than a few days of the week.
"Oh, a model. So like, for magazines and stuff?" Felix knew that was a stupid question but he didn't know anything about the career. "So are you just working in Aurora Bay right now?"
"I mean I get that. Definitely a reason I don't visit them." His want for a pet was strong and he knew he'd be right there to get one if he decided to visit the cafe. "One day and I'm sure she'll be so happy to have a cat when the time comes." Pets were a lot and Jason knew with this conversation, he was gonna go back to thinking if he should have a cat or dog again even if his schedule was all over.
"Yup. Been on a few magazines and even commercials if my company can get it for me." Jason didn't mind being asked anything. He was all for sharing especially with how much of an open book he could be. "Not really working. I've been living here for a few years after moving from New York. It's less stressful and noisy."
"I mean I'm sure everyone would be all for that. More winners means more chances for others to get their chance for victory." Jason laughed as well. It was a bit appealing though even if he wasn't one who cared much for winning.
"That's one way to do it. I'm having a hard time even decided on everyone I'd vote for."
"You and me both." Eden agreed when he said he wanted it to all be over with. Eden hated shopping for gifts, she hated the stress of how busy work was, and she hated the feelings this time of year brought up.
"You don't get to see them, why? Wait. Sorry. That's so rude to ask." Eden shook her head. She felt awful to think about not being able to see her family at all. Even if it was just her cousin and her siblings.
Jason was usually busy so the holiday blues never got to him but this year it was different. He wasn't off somewhere for work so he had to sit and fester while trying to seem chipper for everyone else. Plus he had already dealt with being overwhelmed with gift shopping. It had become too much very fast.
"No, it's fine. They live in a different country so I don't always have the time to book a flight to go over to them during holidays." Usually he always tried his best to do so but this year, too many things pulled up on his end where he didn't have the time to catch a flight. He had felt guilty about it but his parents and sister had reassured him it was fine.

Location: Christmas Market
@aurorabaystarter
“ I know there is already a lot of Christmas horror movies, but I feel like we could always do more? “ kalina noted as she walked through the market place. The fake snow and hot chocolate was such a weird combination since she was literally wearing shorts this morning when she went to get groceries but she loved the commitment to the season. “ First there’s too many killer Santa’s; except for Billy Chapman of course and his brother who says it’s “ garbage day” so I think they deserve a pass. However maybe like a rabid reindeer? Or like a Agatha Christie style murder mystery set during a Christmas dinner? Oooh or a Panettone coming to life to attack others? I’d watch those. Have you ever seen the killer gingerbread man one ? It's terrible“
"I mean we could. Depends on what angle they go for it." Jason comments as he thinks over all the Christmas horror movies that he's seen while scrolling though streaming services. Seeing that the town was trying to commit to the season made him smile. He was used to snow back home so even having was nice in his eyes. It made him feel even more at home. "Rabid reindeer would be a good angle. I'm sure that could be a great scare. Maybe we gotta pitch all these ideas you have to get them to be a reality. I haven't seen that one. I'll be sure to avoid it. I've seen the Grinch horror movie. That was something for sure."
"I know he's adorable, but he's not up for adoption. This is my little guy, Enzo." Sterling smiled as she looked down to scratch her golden retriever behind the ear. "We do have some cuties if you're looking for your own little furbaby."
"He is and I can tell how much he adores you." He couldn't help smiling as he looked at the dog. It just made him want a pet more which he knew he was more intrigued after his genuine question. "Oh? I'm definitely looking for having a furbaby of my own. Been thinking about it a lot so I think it's time."
“I kind of hate this time of year.” Eden said as she stirred her coffee with her straw. “I’ll be happy when it’s over. What about you, are you actually excited?”
Jason listened intently as he kept her gaze on her. "I mean I get it. This time of year can be a lot or even being about negative emotions." Not that he usually felt that way. He always tried to make sure to be as positive as possible. "Honestly, I want it all over. Feeling a little overwhelmed with it all and I don't even get to go see my family to spend the holiday with."
"Honestly. I think it depends on the parents. I mean the idea of Santa is nice especially to bring the holiday spirit but I don't know about the whole he's giving gifts out to kids."
He knew his own parents did the whole Santa Claus brought you presents when he was little. It wasn't that he hated it but he knew others felt devastated when they learned it was their parents the whole time.
Oscar liked that he was an early riser in the morning. He had always been the type to get up early in the morning instead of sleeping late at night. He knew there were other people in town that normally were up as early as he was, but there were just as many people that liked to sleep in. Oscar was the type that the second his eyes were open, he wanted to get out of bed. "That's true. It does get monotonous after a while," he shrugged. Oscar said that as if he was complaining, but most of the time he liked having the same routine every morning. "Interesting. It doesn't look bad, but you're right. Not the right red for blood at all."
Now Jason might be used to being up early but he still was cursing in his head whenever he woke up at the early hours of the morning. It didn't help that whenever his sleep schedule was chaotic, he would still be up early. It felt like a curse and he just dealt with it. "It can be but a routine is nice. Feel if anything is too chaotic, I get stressed out." It was just who he was at this point and he always made sure he had structure in some way. "It doesn't but it could have been a bit more realistic with the color. Doesn't taste too bad either."
"But here's the thing," Nora said, holding up a hand and pausing for a few seconds for dramatic effect. "What if— I've literally never accomplished anything?"
"I mean, it doesn't hurt to lie a little right?" A smile spread across Jason's face as he looked toward her. "I'm sure there is something you accomplished even if it's considered small. Otherwise, you can lie a little bit."
"That is exactly what you are suppose to do. Gotta brag a little especially when it's something personal." It made sense in his mind. Or maybe he was trained to only show the best sides of himself since he didn't want to hurt the image of his company. Either way though, he was all for bragging a little and he was sure others were as well.
"I don't think it's early at all. Think are doing the same thing and already in the Christmas mood. Not at all. Go for it." Jason knew he'd do the same to his place if he had the time at all. He always liked trying to decorate when possible.
"My boss let me put these up for a little extra cash? Wanna taste one?" She asks with what she hopes is a convincing smile. She hasn't actually tasted them, but they smell good and she's taking that as a good sign.
Looking towards cupcakes, Jason was a bit intrigued. His gaze shifted between them and her. "I mean if you're offering I won't mind. Though I'd be all for giving a little cash as well." He was all for trying something out and they looked pretty good so he was eager.
Oscar liked to wake up early and get his day started before everyone else did. He would rather be up at dawn and get everything settled before most people woke up. Halloween was one of those holidays that he didn't care all that much about. Most people wanted to party and go out. While Oscar wasn't the most antisocial person on the planet, he did like a decent dinner party. "It's pretty good. I like my own green juices better." He looked at the juice the other had. "What about yours?"
Sure Jason was used to being up early but he felt like he was on auto pilot. His brain was working away on what he was used to instead of actually running though anything new. It made things easy at least. Now Halloween was a holiday he enjoyed but he didn't always go out. It depended on his mood at the end of the day. Sometimes he wanted to be antisocial while other times, he wanted to be a bit extrovert and be around everyone possible. "That's good to hear. I mean nothing beats something you make yourself." He looked at his own juice, turning it around to see if he could decipher what it was. "Seems to be called Vampire Blood. Kind of a bit to bright of a red to give me that impression though."
——- Not that roman would admit to jason being his first and only friend for a bit, but it was the case as until he stayed with his aunt, his parents were a bit weird about him doing anything he actually wanted to. they barely parented him outside of keeping him in the house and in school — just leading to his own issues it took a hospital visit to fix. ❝ it does um — i might have some free time now for a bit actually. ❞ he admitted a but shyly but honestly, in a low sounding voice. chances are roman was probably going to mostly stick to staying home, working on passion projects and there'd surely be some modeling gigs at time. ❝ i still got your back.. always. ❞ just like old times, roman would be endlessly protective over jason. it was mostly jokes as some things he knew he couldn't attack, but it was him being the friend he was. ❝ i don't believe i recall such. i though you had the bare minimum. ❞ truly the other didn't have bad tastes, but it was the old banter kicking in, to tease and joke for the laugh and smiles.
This felt nice honestly. It sucked that they both had been separated due to their careers becoming as massive as they were. It just made things even more difficult. At least he got to see the other depending on if they happened to be in the same place with their schedules. That made Aurora Bay more special. It let them have the chance to rekindle again. "Oh? Gonna let yourself relax then? Maybe catch up on hobbies?" He was curious on what Roman would do. He knew the other male had wanted to make music before so he hoped he got the chance to do that again. "I know you do. Any monster or weirdo better beware." He laughed a bit. It reminded him of before. The other male was always there to make sure he was safe even if he didn't need to. "Wow. How dare you. I've had better than the bare minimum. Younger me would have been offended." He pointed out as they got to his place. He opened door for them, letting Roman go in first.
"They're great in books, for sure!" Wes laughed softly. "I certainly wouldn't want to run into one, but I really doubt that's going to happen in Aurora Bay. I'm sure someone just saw a fish in the water and let their imagination run wild."
"They are and so cruel." Jason mused, a soft smile on his lips. "I wouldn't either. Don't need them trying to tempt me to my demise. I doubt that as well. We'd know if there was sirens easily. That definitely has to be what happened. Must have been dark and seeing the tail of a fish caused them to think it was a siren."
Marco laughed at what was shared. "Well, you'd never want to meet my whole family then," he shared before walking the other behind the bar to a backroom where there was a few things there. "Would you like something to eat or drink maybe?" He offered with a grin. "Oh, and I'm Marco, by the way. Should probably share names if we're riding this out together, right?"
Jason shook his head before laughing a bit. "Nope. I don't think I could handle being around your whole family," he let him know, knowing that he was even overwhelmed with being around his whole extended family when they came around during certain holidays. He followed the other easily, a sigh leaving his lips. "Yeah, I feel I could use both right now." A drink and food was pretty appealing especially after all his worrying calmed down. "Nice to meet you, Marco. I'm Jason. I mean you aren't wrong. Wouldn't want to refer to you as stranger the whole time."
