For the past two years I have been working on a personal project with my studio mate, art director George McCalman (@tuffgee), titled the #individualsproject. Itās been an amazing ride so far - over 100 portraits of influential Bay Area artists, chefs, writers, painters, musicians, philanthropists, doctors, designers, techies, photographers, etc. - - Today, we bring you our latest #individualsproject - a collaboration with San Francisco Magazine focusing on politics, titled āThe Resistanceā (#theresistance). - - The 20 page feature is a photo portfolio of those elected officials and dedicated activists leading California and the country in defending our rights against all things Trump. I have learned over the past few weeks to understand the word āresistanceā to really mean āresilience'. The 38 people I photographed will fight, but they will also be resilient to the hate that Trump spreadsā¦ - - Iām very proud of this body of work. Connecting with and photographing these amazing people helped heal the pain and sadness I felt following the election and I hope that I captured their individual personalities, strengths, vulnerabilities and their unwavering hope for the future. - - Special thanks to everyone at #sfmagazine for helping us make this project happen!
