summary : out of college for the summer and looking for a job, your older cousin who works for a band gets you a job there with her. you were nervous at first but some of the guys befriend you quickly… though a certain someone isn’t too happy about you working for them and isn’t afraid to make it known
authors note : sorry i’m actually the biggest whore for an age gap and some condescending praise 😔😔😔 MANCHESTER LUKE SAVE ME BABY
at first, working with your older cousin sounded like an amazing idea because who wouldn’t want to work with someone who was practically their best friend? and you really didn’t know too much about 5 seconds of summer. yes, you probably stumbled across posts about them at least ten or more times before because everyone else in your life knew about them. but, nonetheless, you were excited to work for them.
that excitement then vanished when a certain dark haired singer got mad at you for every single thing you did for him. getting the makeup artist to go to his dressing room so it didn’t take longer than it usually does? no, he doesn’t like getting his makeup done in his dressing room because it doesn’t have the lighting he likes. gave him your charger because he lost his? no, your charger’s gonna ruin his phone. bought him a coffee before they go out to preform because you know that’s what he likes? you ordered it wrong.
luckily for you (though you didn’t know about this), the other guys were on your side. “chill, man, she’s new. stop giving her a rough time,” calum told luke back in the lounge area that they all rested in before going on stage. “barely.” yeah, he could not get over the fact that you gave him an iced coffee that had barely any sweetener in it.
calum, ashton, and michael all sighed.
they forgot how stubborn he could be.
“listen, she’s auri’s cousin. you know how amazing she is, so just give her a shot, yeah?” ashton tried to soften luke up a bit by mentioning your cousin because everyone adored her and the hardwork she did for the team.
luke didn’t say anything. just went back on his phone. probably ordering a new coffee. he really liked a caffeinated drink before going on stage. that’s probably what made them all late in the first place.
the show was good, except for the fact that there was problems with the sound system the whole night. it fucked up luke's attitude for the whole night. though the fans singing brought him back a little, remembering that he would have to deal with you when he got off staged just pissed him off even more.
you didn't do anything to luke specifcally. but, god, how you pissed him off. you were only twenty two, barely any experience to work for them. the way your voice was so soft and sweet made him feel like he had an ear ache. and don't get him started on how you just had to be praised for everything you did. luke could see the way you smiled to yourself when he "complimented" you for doing the most easiest things. yeah... what a good job for such a dumb girl, luke thought to himself.
but none of those things seemed to matter to him when he locked himself in the bathroom after hours, his cock in his hands as he thought of the sweet sounds you would make when he ruined you. he imagined seeing his dumb girl on her knees in his dressing room, putting her mouth to work instead of asking unnecessary questions.
he knew he was wrong for it.
you were new. you were younger than him. and he was rude to you, but now he was thinking about you in his most vulnerable moments? good thing you didn't have a single clue about what he was doing.
finally, once youngblood was over and they said their goodbyes to their lovely fans, luke went back to his dressing room without saying anything to anybody. and they all knew better than to bother luke when he was bothered.
good thing they had you to do it for them!
"are you sure he won't yell at me?" you asked auri as she pushed you towards the hallway is dressing room was down. she nodded, though she knew she was about to lie through her teeth. "of course. just tell him we're gonna have to leave soon and get on the tourbus. i doubt he'll get mad at you," auri answered.
you sighed, unsure. you knew that luke didn't like you, no matter how much auri and the others tried to convince you that he did. "we have an hour. get to it, babe. momma didn't give you big doe eyes for no reason," auri pushed you one last time before walking away, taking a phone call as she did.
and so, you nervously walked down the hallway and to the door that belonged to his dressing room. you exhaled, knocking softly on the wooden door. "luke? they wanted me to tell you--," you started before the door opening interrupted you. in front of you stood luke, who looked more pissed than anything. without out a word, he grabbed your arm and pulled you into the room. and before you knew it, you were now pressed aganist the door with luke standing so close to you.
"what the fuck was that?" luke hissed in your face. your brows furrowed in confusion, "w-what? what are you talking about? i was just gonna tell you that we have to leave soon." your voice was shaky due to the postion you were currently in. "i'm talking about all those fucking tech issues. what are you doing back there? just having fun, aren't you?" you shook your head quickly, "n-no! i wasn't even back there."
luke scoffed, then moved back, giving you some personal space. "i don't fucking care where are you. you're on this team and if there's problems, you need to be there."
listen, you weren't always the brighest. and this was one of those moments. but seeing luke frustrated made this strange feeling swarm in your stomach and a throbbing feel that caused you to squeez your thighs together. being attracted to one of your bosses was going to be an issue.
and, of course, luke just had to turn around at the wrong time. it didn't take anything for him to notice your flushed cheeks and you squeezing your thighs together. and being his usual harsh self to you, he laughed. yes, he fucking laughed. you stared at him in disbelief and embarassment. you wanted to curse him so badly, but your lips couldn't move. oh, how you wished this was all just a dream.
luke stepped closer to you, a mischievous look in his eyes. "oh, you poor baby. i haven't even done anything. all i have to do is get mad at you and you're already a blushing mess." your voice came out quiter than you wished, "shut up." his lips formed into a faux pout as he pushed a loose strand of hair behind your ear, "what am i going to do with you, huh? should i give my sweet, dumb girl what she desprately wants?"
a whine fell from your lips as you nodded.
he clicked his tounge with a shake of his head while his hand traveled under your skirt, "tsk-tsk, only good girls get what they want. and you're not a good girl."
his hand was so close to where you wanted him.
but then there was a knock on the door.
"you almost ready, luke? cal and ash want to make a tiktok before we get on the bus," michael asked, his voice coming out like a mumble due to the door that was in between you guys.
"yeah, give me a minute." luke answered, his eyes not leaving you.
hearing michael's footsteps fade away, luke took back his hand, making you whine again. but he didn't move. instead, he lips came up to your ear, his breath fanning aganist you. "remember: good girls get what they want."
a minute later he clicked back into his old self, pushing your body away from the door before opening it. looking back at you, "fix yourself, you look like a mess."
then he was gone, leaving you stunned once again.
