I fear because I look so basic, people really expect me to struggle less. I warn everyone that I am literally insane. The only difference between me and someone in a psych ward is the fact I am outside fr. No one cared about me enough to send me to the hospital at my worst, so I have been left free to roam this earth with all my crazy :)
But no one believes me at all. They then also get real shocked when I show symptoms of the disorders I have +more. It is so annoying. I feel so misunderstood and invalidated constantly. At this point I’ve just accepted it mostly.

When I was younger I was so utterly obsessed with unicorns. By younger, I mean from literal birth until age 15.
I don’t remember why I stopped believing in them/ going on about them constantly but I’m quite sad I did. I loved my little quirky unicorn obsession. I had so much cute unicorn decor in my room and that is a big thing for a minimalist.
Below is a picture my friend drew of me when we were 12 <333 there is an updated version in my memory box somewhere which I’ll have to find (:
Soppy wfttwtaf appreciation post x
I journaled about this yesterday but since I have tumblr back I can speak about it again!!
This album means more to me than any album in the world. 5 years of it is crazy. When it came out I wasn’t envisioning another week for myself, it was meant to all end that same week. To say i’m glad it didn’t would be a lie, but since I regretfully lived to see another 5 years, I will say it has only made me more and more grateful for wfttwtaf and 5sos in general.
Hearing starting line live in April was surreal. I think I died and came back to life. I am basic in the fact that starting line is my favourite from the album (sue me, the way it builds up satisfies my brain like no other)
This album got me through the most heinous of situations. Every song is an absolute masterpiece and I am grateful to be alive at the same time as Luke Hemmings.
I can not put how I feel about this album into words. I am simply not intelligent enough to do it justice. But I know I would not have coped without this album.
Happy 5 years (and one day) to When Facing The Things We Turn Away From <3

tw: anorexia
Something that is on my mind recently because I spend too much time on TikTok :)
I hate the skinny epidemic, I think it is all so dumb and harmful..but I hate recovery accounts ‘de influencing’ even more.

Every post I see from a ‘recovered’ anorexic is clearly an excuse to show off the fact they successfully once starved themselves. Their idea of ‘de influencing’ is almost always stating the most obvious of side effects from starvation or straight up showing pictures of themselves severely underweight.
Side effects such as: hair loss, lack of energy, weak muscles, heart problems, vitamin deficiency and, death, are all desirable problems to someone who is anorexic.
In the depths of my anorexia, shitting myself was a desirable side effect because it meant I was finally ill like those girls on my fyp.
You are often giving people goals by talking about anorexia. I think conversation around the disorder is incredibly helpful. The awareness that talking about it brings, saves so many lives. However, I think the bulk of it should be centred around reasons to recover. I do not mean ‘recover so you can stand in the shower!!’ because that still implies that if you’re sick enough you shouldn’t be able to stand in the shower. Reasons should be focused on mental recovery; physical side effects and physical reasons to recover are not helpful in conversations about a competitive mental disorder and they never will be.
All this to say, I hateeee!!!!!!! recovery accounts.
Redownloaded tumblr again because I have too many useless opinions and no way to express them <3
I would have downloaded twitter but that feels more like a mental health crisis. Tumblr feels more chic x

Anyway, this episodes anthem is U Got the Power; specifically the Bastille remix. Niche choice from me but alas my brain has attached itself to this song for now..<3
very happy I heard starting line live before they took it off the setlist (boooooo🍅🍅)
