dvlwthnâ:
the pull he felt toward her was, at times, too much. the way her blood called to him, had his red eyes turning black. the first time he saw her, he had almost been ready to kill her. not that she was even aware. the human hadnât even n o t i c e d his presence. the scottish vampire had never felt the need to hold back. if someoneâs blood smelt that good, heâd make that person his meal. BUT jayson was different. her blood didnât just smell that good, it made him feel as if he had no control. something he hasnât felt since his earlier time as a vampire.
yet, instead of just killing her and putting himself out of his misery, he let her live. something about the human had him FIGHTING every urge he had. her blood called to him, but the moment their eyes met he knew he couldnât [ e v e r ] kill her.  she reminded him of someone from his past. not her look, no, but the way she spoke, the way she carried herself⊠then each time following that first time, he became more and more attached.Â
which was why he was there now, watching over her. keeping his distance until he could âbumpâ into her. however, his night wasnât going to plan when he noticed this man creeping outside the nightclub. as if waiting. it had asher on edge. but he couldnât be sure of anything, so he just made sure to stay close by. when the man seemed to start to near jayson after she exits outback. stupid girl, why would you exit this way. he mentally scolded her. there were no safe ways out. nothing useful to use as a weapon either. sensing what the man was up to, asher flashed toward him before he could come out of the shadows. covering the manâs mouth, asher quickly bit into his neck and helped himself to the man blood. keeping jayson safe from the creep as well as his own bloodlust. allowing the body to fall down once he was drained, he wiped his mouth and stepped out of the shadows.  â sorry , just passing through . â he commented, accent thick.  â just decided to use a short cut . â he sent her a charming smile.Â
When one silhouette fades away into the darkness, Jayson is left confused and fearful. Would they jump out at her the moment she attempted to run? She hears something hit the ground, causing her to stiffen in terror. Itâs not until she hears a familiar accent and registered and equally and wonderfully familiar face. She felt as if she could finally breathe. As always heâs a breath of fresh air. Despite his pale skin he has her world alight with breathtaking saturation.
The grey Seattle environment felt so much brighter. Jayson offers him a relieved smile. âItâs you.â That soothed her soul far more than just the simple relief of knowing she hadnât encountered someone wishing to harm her. Of course she would never express this verbally. His presence just had a way of calming her more than one person should have the capability of doing. Her constant dread and fear that Adrian could find and hurt her had becoming just dull static as opposed to the violent blaring it usually is.
âNo need to be sorry, youâre free to pass through wherever. You shouldâve come earlier, couldâve had free booze.â Though, on second thought, she wouldnât have had the heart to witness other drunken patrons flirt with the stunningly beautiful man stood before her.
