not seeing a lot of people on here talking about ICE murdering another man yesterday. His name was Lorenzo Salgado Arajou. He was a Mexican man living in Huston Texas. He was killed at age 52 and lived the past 35 years here in the USA, and was in the process of obtaining a work permit. He was shot and killed during a traffic stop that ICE claims was part of a targeted operation, and claimed he was āweaponizing his vehicleā- the same claim ICE agents made when they shot and murdered Renee Good.
During the stop, Lorenzo had 3 coworkers with him in his truck who have all been taken into ICE custody.
His family described Lorenzo as a hardworking family man who didnāt deserve to be killed. All he wanted was to provide for his wife and see his sons become great people. His eldest son recognized his father by his cries and pleas when trying to identify who the victim was.

She has been dealing with severe chronic back pain since 2021, when she started having sudden and horrific back pain, hip pain and right leg pain, to the point where she was incapable of moving. Her general doctor gave her painkillers that barely worked; the PT she tried didn't work, either, and other doctors ignored her or refused to take her seriously. We live in Serbia, where it's a struggle to set foot in the exam rooms of free public doctors, because the wait times are notoriously bad, so we were forced to seek treatment in private clinics unless we wanted to wait months for an exam.
On top of that, I've been going through personal hell with getting anyone to take my own diagnosis seriously. Our parents are dealing with a lot of family drama and financial problems, which are of course also OUR problems, and have given up on my sister because it's āher problem." So most of the burden of paying the medical bills falls on my shoulders, and when I couldn't afford something I was forced to take the ebegging/crowdfunding route or borrow from friends. Repeatedly. The bums earlier stole my wheelchair . I was picked up off the ground by the cab driver and he helped me inside. The aide came to my house and left when no one answered I called the company to find out where she was . I just got off the phone with medicaid and they said they pay 80% for a new chair and I need to pay $100 of the share for a new chair so please someone help me get a new chair thank God I had my keys around my neck thank u Jesus at least I was able to get in my house. They won't pay for more meds until next month .

Sometimes, time seems to move in a vicious cycle, repeating itself in a painfully astonishing manner, as if mocking humanity's ability to learn from its mistakes. Two images are separated by 79 years, yet they appear as though no time has passed, as if the gap between them is merely a few fleeting moments.
The first image: A Palestinian elder holding the keys to his home, from which he was forcibly displaced after the Nakba of 1948. An image filled with pain, with tears that dried on faces, and hearts that collapsed under the weight of loss. Yet, hope for return still filled those hearts.
The second image: A recent photo that tells the same story, but this time, the protagonist is my young sister, Maryam, holding the keys to our home from which we were displaced and demolished after the Nakba of 2023.
There is no difference between the two stories, except that this time, the story is even harsher and more painful.
