Summers are always miserable. Either it's wet and cold, in which case one can't even leave the house, or it's wet and warm, so that everything feels sticky. For either case Fred and George have found themselves a tree house, far enough from the house not to be seen, close enough that they can still hear mum calling – safer that way, she can get so worked up, if things don't go her way.

Okay.... technically it's Charlie's tree-house, but they think he wouldn't mind, given he is far, far away now, and always told them: “You need to trust your brothers most. No one else will ever be this reliable.”

It's true, isn't it? Even when no one else cares, when mum fawns over Ginny, dad over some new contraption and everyone else is neck-deep in their own stuff (or Harry's), they always had each other. Charlie to bring them stories, Bill to teach them knacks, Percy for finances, Ron for... comic relief, probably. First and foremost their twin. Always there, always safe.

A person to share their misdeeds. And their secrets. “Angelina tried to kiss me, just before the start of the holidays,” Fred tells his brother. “I think she meant you.”

George looks as vaguely guilty as Fred vaguely jealous.

“Did... you kiss her before?” The question is more loaded than Fred intended, but it's still there.

“No, I... you know. I haven't... tried yet, and it didn't feel right.” He shrugs, as if this stumbling wasn't so terribly out of character that it hurts.

“Nervous?” Fred teases, but relents, when his brother nods.

“Very.” George let's his lower legs swing back and forth over the edge of the floor, considering the whole situation. “Maybe if I first kissed someone I can trust.”

The mean, spiteful thing would be to ask who he could mean with that. But Charlie is right. Fred would prank the whole world, but not his brother in peril. He hasn't yet kissed anybody either – but how hard can it be? He turns, puts a hand on George's cheek and just dives in, lips against lips, innocent, almost casual. At least that's what it was supposed to be, but the sparks appear out of nowhere and leave him breathless. All by themselves his hands find their way into George's hair, just as the other way around. Coincidentally the kiss deepens, mouth against mouth, opening to devour more. It's sloppy and wet and stupid, and the best thing ever at the same time.

They part hot and blushing and embarrassed, and yet happy beyond reason. Surely Charlie didn't mean it that way, but he was on point. One can always trust their brother.

Regulus swears it was Barty's idea, but then again, he could have said no. He could have refused to bring fire whiskey. He could have told Sirius to stay away. For weeks he did, no matter how his dorm-mate nagged. But it was not Barty who won him over. It was Sirius, emerging from the Black Lake butt-naked from skinny-dipping after dusk. The sight was addictive. Regulus had to have it again, and if he could watch Barty play meanwhile, all the better.

So he did invite Sirius, and he brought the Fire-Whiskey, and now... now the only thing he feels guilty is that he doesn't feel very guilty at all. Maybe for years in the future he'll regret this, the moment it ends.

But now he gets to watch Sirius, half naked, more melting into the couch than actually sitting, with Barty on top of him. He tries to open Sirius' trousers, but they are Muggle and Barty has probably never even seen a zip before.

Maybe Regulus shouldn't help. Maybe he should leave them alone and keep his innocence - for a given amount of innocent – intact. But if he is not a Slytherin at heart, what is he? And would a Slytherin let such an opportunity go? No they wouldn't.

Effortlessly he slips onto the couch too, making space by Sirius' head and then getting that into his lap. He bows down and kisses him, and Sirius is just drunk enough not to care. It's harder to slip his hand between the two, Barty isn't all that helpful, but it's worth it.

Now he can kiss Sirius senseless, while watching Barty find out that everything on Sirius– Everything, with a capital E – is as perfect as his face. That certainly is worth a lifetime of regret. Mostly that he doesn't get to repeat it. Unless he does.

Introduction

Hi everyone. I've been thinking about making this for quite some time now, and I realized: I was never going to do it, if I didn't JUST start.

SO here it is, my idea, that won't work without all of you - Make a wish Rare pairs.

The concept is this:

Someone likes a rare pair and would like to read more of them? They make a wish and ping this blog. They may or may not include a prompt, but everything Rare pair is out in the open.

Then Authors of the fandom can come and try to challenge themselves by fulfilling the wishes - Microfic, longfic, epic novel, everything goes. They post it (either directly on tumblr or with a link to the finished work) and ping this blog again - and the blog of the prompter as well :)

That way we can make the world of rare pairs richer, can connect lovers and writers of rare pairs and create new ships and new concepts.

Announcing the first ever Draw Prongsfoot Badly Challenge!

Get ready for April 2025 and the first (of hopefully many) annual Draw Prongsfoot Badly Challenge!

The concept has been shamelessly stolen (with permission from the lovely @julcheninred) from the Draw Drarry Badly Challenge - if you missed it, go check it out - you won't regret it!

"But I can't draw!" I hear you say... Awesome! Then this is just the fest for you!

"But I don't have time!" Great! Spend 30 seconds on the back of your exam paper, coffee-stained napkin, or meeting agenda. Bad art doesn't take time.

"But I have no ideas!" Draw a scene from your favourite fic or recreate a meme. Just make sure to do it Badly!

"Excuse me, I happen to already be a well-renowned Prongsfoot artist. Do you expect ME to draw Badly?" YES! Draw with your non-dominant hand, wear a blindfold or try your hand at clay sculpturing. I believe in you!!

The rules of the challenge are simple:

Anyone can join! Even if you've never held a pen or only have access to a stick and a puddle of mud

Any media is allowed! It doesn't have to be a drawing if you'd rather knit or stack cheerios into the shape of James's broomstick - as long as you made it and it's Bad!

New Year’s Eve Prompts 🎆

Their friends dare them to kiss a stranger at midnight and they are just tipsy enough to actually do it.

The party was great but now it’s time to find their way home, in the middle of the night in the freezing cold in high heels and a party dress.

Learning other people’s weird New Year’s Eve tradition is always fascinating but not always fun. 

At first they thought it was the firework but then the knocks on the door became louder.

She never thought watching billions of Euros going up in colorful flames and loud noises could be this romantic.

They were so distracted, they even missed the clock striking midnight.

It’s the morning after a wild New Year’s Eve party and there are quite a few regrets.

Spending the New Year’s Eve on a boat and watching the fireworks go off on the shore is a once in a lifetime experience.

With the pandemic, New Year’s Eve parties have to be a little different this year.

It’s a couple minutes after midnight and there were already a couple resolutions broken.

When the new neighbor tests their firework a few days early, she wants to protest. But they are kinda cute.
