february 2024 "I am Impertinent"

for my sister's 22nd birthday my aunt and i decided the theme was going to be percy jackson. it was easy to pick the theme, it's her favorite book series and the tv show just came out. the only challenge was what party favors were we going to create.

besides the obvious blue snacks, and some golden coins to resemble drachma's. we sorted our family members into cabins and made wrappers for chocolate bars to be included with the favors.

of course, my cousin who adores pokemon also insisted on adding his touch to the favors as well and i included it when making the wrappers. (it did say my sister's name on it not "someone")

i took my time with this project and over the span of 2ish weeks, sooooo many drafts and a bunch of changes i'm happy with how it turned out.

january 2024 "they say that the best blaze burns the brightest when circumstances are at their worst."

so my aunt wanted the loewe calcifer bag but it was like $5000 so i painted my own instead. of course that also meant that she wanted a matching wallet too and then my cousin wanted one as well.

this took about 2 hours to do after pushing this project for 4 months. anyways it's done and it's cute!

february 2023 "when im with you there is no one else, and i get heaven to myself"

saw the shipping fees for jin's wootteo plushies and laughed. then with $100 worth of crafts and a dream, i made giant plushies for my family and learned to sew in the process

june 2021 "the last cherry blossom"

once again i was inspired by bts, im pretty sure it was jungkook this time, to try out digital drawing.

ive had this drawing app installed for a while and didn't know what to draw, so instead, I focused on this feeling instead.

what that feeling is changes for time to time but I'm glad how this turned out at the end

january 2020 "It all passes, someday, for sure, certainly"

so i decided to try bullet journaling in my post grad program and it last well...3 months before i got too busy to keep up with it. this was probably the one I was the most proud of.

funnily enough i drew this in the middle of class cause i couldn't focus on what was being taught. i guess my best work (i mean it could be better but i did sketch this in like 45 minutes) comes out best when i'm trying to ignore the world

may 2021 "lonely lonely lonely whale, singing alone just like this. could someone like me, who’s like an isolated island, shine brightly as well"

jumping back to the year 2021, where i got a sudden burst of creative energy and watched the tiny tan dream on video again.

ever since I heard 00:00 it instantly became my favourite, and then I saw this video and got inspired to doing something small.

march 2019 "I grew a flower that can’t be bloomed in a dream that can’t come true"

welcome to my museum opening :)

in 2019 i decided to draw flowers free hand for thef irst time in a very long while and now that i'm thinking about it i'm not sure why. i like to think that it was because i had some sort of confidence in my artist capabilities but i highly doubt that. the truth is, a part of me always thought that i wasn't good enough to do anything artsy or didn't have the skill for it but i still wanted to try it anyways.

looking at it now, march 2019 was a difficult time for me. i was losing my friends and had no idea who i was or what i wanted to do with my life so i guess i just picked up some paper and pencils crayons and went with it. a part of my still has no idea what i'm doing.

hell idk why im choosing to post this now after drawing it so long ago but here i am. trying to get back into creating things that i was once so excited to do before.

i don't expect anyone to see this page or any of my work but i still wanted to put it out there for my sake. so i have a reason to keep living and making.
