008 For Days.

As I’m strolling through tumblr, I noticed something quite different. Unfamiliar to what I was so adjusted to before, am I falling behind or taking another path? I revisited the tumblrs of my dear ones that I have onced followed, and sadly, nearly less than half has not updated their tumblr for almost a year now. For those who have, surprisingly all reblogs of quotes, reblogs of celebrity couples, reblogs of naked skin for days… And then I realized, not a single post about family. About their mother. Father. Grandparents. Siblings. But rather, their recently ended relationship, or their crush whom they’re still gathering the courage to talk to, or about their college date nights, expressed hatred towards gossip and rumors and nights out in the city.

My most recent posts are just about my family. Only because, it makes sense and doesn’t make sense to me at the same time. Venting about it helps me to overcome the hardships, as I have not vented about it as much as I wanted to with anyone else. I feel as if this 2 year relationship I have been stuck in, and desperately want to get rid of, isn’t as worthy as my family. But I’ll get to it.

Best of Both Worlds?

Yaknow. Miley Cyrus isn't the only starlet that came out of Disney, that has had rise and falls. She isn't the only victim unfortunately impacted by American double-standards. There's Hilary Duff, Raven, Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, and Demi Lovato, etc. They all just grew up and out of Disney. Well in different ways. Now if you wanted to teach the youth about believing in dreams, happy endings, fairy tales and magic... Guide them into looking up to Disney Princesses (Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Mulan, etc) as role models instead. Now we know for sure, they won't ever change. They'll satisfy your expectations forever and beyond. Now quit bashing on Miley Cyrus, she's not Hannah Montana anymore. Get over it.
