Modern coastline of Cartagena, Colombia. I was surprised when I first visited Cartagena with the skyscrapers that lined the oceanfront. I expected a more subdued town but encountered a bustling city!

Cafe Del Mar at sunset in Cartagena, Colombia. What an amazing place to grab a drink and watch the sun go down!
Ran into this pelican hanging out on the dock when we were in Colombia. Downtown Cartagena in the background.
Lighthouse and the remnants of the building that surrounds it. One of the many beautiful sights on our day trip to Colonia Del Sacramento in Uruguay.
The Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve right up against the city of Buenos Aires. The 865 acre Reserve is an amazing place to get away from the city with amazing walking trails and plenty of wildlife.
Valle Nevado Village in the distance as we skied down the slopes. We made it a day trip from Santiago, Chile but definitely worth an overnight stay.
Skiing Valle Nevado this past July near Santiago, Chile! One of the Andes largest ski destinations and only a short drive from the city...Amazing!
View of Santiago, Chile and the Andes Mountain Range from Sky Costanera. Just a glimpse of the 360° panorama sights from the largest skyscraper in Latin America. Got lucky with the nice weather was well the day when we were there...
The town square of Machupicchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes). The town is your last stop before exploring the ruins of Machu Picchu. This was actually on our way out of the town after we had visited the site...
Ok, back to posting photos from our 8 month honeymoon around the world last year... Here is one more look at Machu Picchu. If you are ever in or near Peru, don’t miss a chance to see this amazing wonder of the world!
An orange orb-weaver spider in our backyard. Caught him scurrying across the deck a few weeks ago. In case you are wondering...this genus of spider is not venomous. . .
Icicles of Edmonton’s Ice Castles...
Came across this frozen lake as we made our way out of the Canadian Rockies...
A band of wild horses that we ran into on the way to Jasper National Park (Alberta, Canada).
Footbridge over Sunwapta Falls in Jasper National Park (Alberta, Canada).
Skiing the Canadian Rockies today. Aptly named ‘Panorama’ the views from the resort are amazing.
