We might often feel like we aren't doing enough. That we haven't reached an ultimate way of life where joy is omnipresent. We also don't naturally see all of what we have accomplishment and more importantly, we dont congratulate ourselves enough for what we have. This month, things just fell into place to spell out for me that I am incredibly lucky to be enjoy a life such as mine. I experienced a strong feeling of happyness. It left eventually, it must, but boy was it nice. Spent this month traveling here and there. Seeing some family and enjoyed some delightful opportunities. I believe that's life. It's not about hunting those cool parties or travel, its welcoming them when they presents themselves to you. I also learned that composing music is crazy hard. I find it great that as soon as I try to learn something, I suddenly realise how much time and effort it takes to actually produces something. We eat media like potato chips without ever taking into appreciation the knowledge and work that went behind it. So now I admire so many little things. Driving back alone in the rented van I used to move in into my new place, Getaway by the Salsoul Orchestra came on the radio and I danced so hard out of happiness, alone, in that van. And it was great. Spent a month watching the sunlight hit my hand from the curtain of my mom's apartment window. Here I am. I am back in Paris. Now what. I can do everything and nothing at the same time... Inside the rented Prius, my friend and I were looking outside at the storm. We planned on hiking the sunny mountain around San Francisco but ended up trapped in the clouds. We werent going to stop so we did went hiking in the storm and after thirty minutes, we came back down to the car, completely drenched. We stood there, inside the car, gazing at the branch of the trees fading and reappearing as strong gust of wind would blow misty clouds around us. I put some music on and we enjoyed the moment. We didn't talk and all was fine. I finally got the break I needed. I went by myself in west coast of france and spent a whole week doing nothing but watching the sea, the sunset and learning how to start fires in the chimney. By the end of the week, I went by this small beach side area that I enjoyed and I noticed at my feet this beautiful plant. It was growing in the cold frozen morning. The leaves were this beautiful shade of red and green and I looked at it for a long time please to have found such a small spectacle. When I stopped and went on my way I started to realize just how many plants like this were around me. I never paid attention to them, a lot of them were bigger, more colorful. Yet I prefer to cherish that first smaller one.
