Major Announcement! THE RIBBONS ARE HERE!

Here is the moment we have been waiting for. This is a great step toward awareness and making Trichotillomania and other Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors known. It took a couple of years, with a lot of debate on the colors, but we finally did it. “These ribbons were borne of an idea from BFRB activists.“ That’s talking about us. Together we came up with the idea, brainstormed, started petitions, spread the word, and voted on colors. “The blue represents the link between BFRBs and obsessive-compulsive spectrum and anxiety disorders. Green represents healing and community, both wonderful things that are born from the suffering and isolation that most of the millions affected by BFRBs must live with.“ To many, this ribbon will only stand for Trichotillomania, but the beauty of it is that it will represent our sister disorder’s as well. “If you see another wearing this ribbon, you have found a sister or a brother who understands..“ The thought of spotting our fellow Trichsters because of this ribbon is amazing. 

Let everyone know that we have a ribbon. That this is real, that this isn’t just in our imaginations. We are many and we are strong. Now we have colors to show it off!

I always find it comical when Christians (mostly whites) say racist things bout Arabs. Like did you forget that Jesus was Palestinian? And if you need a geography lesson, Palestine is in the Middle East, which means that Jesus was indeed middle eastern. So why be racist against your own God, or the son of God (which ever you believe).
