You also bring up a good point (albeit obliquely) because so far, we’ve only had two female leads in the SW universe - Rey and Jyn Erso.  Played by white women.   The first three on the original list up there are in supporting roles.

(For that matter, Alden Ehrenreich is the first man of color in a lead role in a Star Wars movie.  As much as I adore John Boyega and Harrison Ford, they were both in supporting roles.)

When can we get a WOC/more MOC in lead roles in a Star Wars movie?!?!
