Something for lees to consider- autistic lers are SUPER reliable. We don’t really GET bored drilling into that one deathly spot. We can easily turn it into a stimming trick taking up those soles again and again or dragging back and forth along those sides or keeping our nails magnetized to your pits in endless swirling. Idea: I tickle you, but I give you a break each time you compliment yourself. Obviously, the compliment has to be different each time. And it has to be a genuine compliment. If you're having trouble coming up with compliments or get flustered with praises, it's just more motivation for me to tickle you more.
soooooo…I may or may not be impulsively writing a short little tkl fic about a certain man of play-doh because I love him- and this headcanon probably will not explicitly come up in said fic, but I wanted to share it anyway…
CW: plurality mention/focus(?) I know Doey isn’t necessarily meant to be a perfect representation of such, but it’s still there- you might understand once you see the headcanon, but I know I have a few people of plurality who see my stuff, so if this is disrespectful to any of you, please let me know!

since Doey is made up of three children (Jack, Matthew, and Kevin), I imagine their reactions to tickles; both being tickled and tickling; are a bit different, and through certain mannerisms, you can tell who’s more prominent at the moment!
Jack (the one who fell in a factory vat in the beginning of the chapter) is incredibly gleeful about tickles. if someone gives even a hint that they’re going to tickle him, he flaps his hands excitedly and has the goofiest smile known to man. He’s looking at you expectedly, completely giddy as he waits for you to tickle him. he never fights back or even really tries to protect his spots when he’s being tickled; just may be a bit squirmy. he also continued to flap his hands the more excited and ticklish he gets. when he’s the one doing the tickling, he hardly tries to hide his intentions. he’ll say something like “looks like someone needs a tickle~!” before immediately grabbing whoever he’s targeting and tickling their sides and ribs. he’s not rough, but he’s not gentle either: he doesn’t want to hurt anybody, but he’s also just so excited to hear his friends and loved ones laugh! it gives him fond memories from when his parents would play tickle games with him, which he also loves doing! you could say he’s like the “fun” tickler of sorts, using tickles for play
Matthew (the teenage orphan the other children saw as a leader of sorts) is much more gentle and calm about tickling. he’s usually the one more prominent when someone is in need of comfort or cheer-up tickles. his voice will soften, and if he thinks someone may want or need cheering up, he will always ask them first if they want tickles. if they say ‘yes’, he smiles softly and wraps one of his arms around the person or holds them in his hand before gently scribbling up and down their sides or tummy. he’s very sweet about comfort tickles: all his ‘teases’ are just words of affirmation about how you’re safe and cared for and how you can relax now. if someone wants to tickle him, he gets a little flustered by it, especially if he isn’t expecting the idea to come up. he’ll blush and play with his fingers, averting his eyes nervously before stuttering out “w-well! if it’ll make you happy..!” (he’ll die if you follow up with “well, will it make YOU happy?” to which he just bashfully nods). he doesn’t squirm at all, afraid of hurting whoever his tickler may be, but he does have a tendency to bring his hands to his face, whether fully covering it or just doing a t-rex pose with it out of instinct
Kevin (the one the employees considered a “problem child”) is such a menace both as the ticklee and the tickler. if he’s fronting (is that the right word?/genq) when you want to tickle him, he will make it a challenge, and not necessarily as a game. he gives that sort of goofy-smug look and some snarky remark, so that you know he’s not going to make it easy for you. while he won’t run away or physically fight back, he’ll make sure to hold in his laughter as much as he can, crossing his arms like some pouty child, until you either get bored or give up. unfortunately, and especially if his tickler is persistent, he’s too ticklish for his own good and will very quickly break into cackles and snorts. now, he’s a squirmer: he’s pretty mindful of how much strength he has and always tries to control himself as best he can, so he usually puts all of his squirming to kicking his legs, as they’re stubby and have the least likely chance of hurting somebody. you better watch out though. once you stop tickling, it’s game over for you: Kevin has a thirst for revenge and will play ‘tickle monster’ now that he’s free. he’ll give you that evil look and 10 seconds to run and hide, though it won’t get you very far. none of the children like using their shapeshifting ability as Doey in Safe Haven because it’s a little freaky, but a few extra arms are not out of the question for Kevin. he’s teasy and ruthless, quietly trying to find you as he sings about how he just can’t wait to tickle you; and once he does catch you, you’ll be laughing and squealing into the next century. two doughy arms will hold yours up, while the rest tickle each spot of yours ruthlessly. he’ll be very cocky about it too: “Haha! You thought you could find from me, pal?! Never! The tickle monster always finds his prey~!”
imagining a monster under the bed but instead of just being there, if a part of you is out from the covers you get t-worded… Or if its past your bedtime and you get out of bed, it’ll t-word your legs… Get all those little spots you know? Like the back of the knees, calves, toes. Just all of that!
