Sorry this took rlly, rlly, rlly long- I died :D
Jk I graduated community college! Plus with the bad shit happening in the world at the moment, I decided I need to do productive things again. So Iâm back and hopefully here to stay!
It was an explanation though as to why computers always seemed to start acting strange around your presence, glitching without reason, lag from a computer nerds worst nightmare, and how you always seemed to be able to get anywhere you wanted. Bypassing thousands walls of code before the tip his fingers could even touch the keyboard.
Never would have guessed you for a demon, but it made sense the more and more he thought about it. Heâs honestly a bit shocked that it took him so long to notice up to this point.
âWhat's that look for? Hmmm?â
The smug expression that had taken residence upon your face made you look all the more mischievous in Anonâs eyes- even more so when he glanced back down at his monitor to see that you had beaten him, again.
âHow did you that?! You didnât even press a single key, I saw you!â
You only gigged and leaned back into your seat across from Anon, closing your eyes and stretching your arms above your head.
âI told you already- Iâm just that good, I donât know why you find it so hard to believe~â
Anon was going ever the more frustrated, not because he continued to lose again and again(he would never admit it made him a wee sour), but he just didnât understand how you being a demon gave you such a power in the first place.
âIt makes no sense- I spent house getting this good and ya tellinâ me all you have to do is look at a computer and thatâs it?â
Even with your eyes closed, you could feel Anonâs sneer from across the table.
Stirling knew from the beginning, that innocent gleam in your eyes accompanied by the radiant, almost glowing aura that surrounded you was a dead give away. He was a bit shocked when you had no intentions of slaying him, but instead wanting to help him return to his true form. You truly were a saint.
He had no intention of giving up his damned, immortal life though. Not when you two could instead spend eternity together, till the very universe itself froze over or imploded in on itself, whichever came first.
"Please, Stirling- Let me help you."
"Help me? My dear, why would I want to return to a mortal life when I can dance with you among the stars till the sun implodes on itself? Why, I want nothing more than to spend the rest of eternity with you..."
You looked at him with soft eyes, eyes that could encapture anyone into doing whatever you wanted,
"Stirling, what of what comes after? I couldn't live with myself knowing you'll burn in hell for all of eternity if you were slain."
"Then I shall make it my promise to you, I will never leave your side if you promise to never leave mine."
It was a promise with consequences for the both of you, what would become of you when it is found out that you've decided to love a demon such as himself?
What would become of you if he were to be slain? Alone for the rest of existence, never to be together again, Stirling couldn't live with himself he ever left you alone to live out the rest of your immortal life.
He'd surely go mad without you.
Ahh, so thatâs why you were so perfect, why didnât he guess it sooner? His Y/N, an angel, his own angel sent down from above.
He already believed he didnât deserve you before, but now- Oh no, God must have loved toying with him. What kind of monster deserved a literal angel such as you? Certainly not him. You were too much, too good, too pure- For anyone. Surely you must be gift for him, to set him straight and turn his back on the ugliness of his true nature. A gift he could keep all to himself.
"Cole, You're squeezing my hand too tight..."
"My Y/N, my very own angel..."
Even as your gorgeous eyes give him a stern look for his possessive behavior, he knows. You could never do him wrong.
âIâm sorry, my dear. I find I canât help myself around you, youâre simply too⌠captivating. I find the need to hold your hand in mine, always.â
He presses a kiss to your knuckles, the sight of your eyes once giving him a stern look just melt- Oh, how he would do anything to keep you by his side.
Your smile, eyes, touch, and very holy presence. His to keep, his to love.
Heâll never let you go.
He had a small suspicion, something in the back of his mind urging him to be wary of your every move, to steer clear of you altogether, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so.
Not only did every instinct in his body tell him run from you, but you also took any chance you got to scare the living daylights out of him. Somehow blending into the darkness better than he ever could in all his years of training.
Even when he had every right to be suspicious and stay clear of you, he felt as if you had a grip on his very soul. Every time you so much as looked into his eyes, he felt captivated by your very being.
You whispered softly into Scaleâs ear, hot puff of air grazing the shell of his ear that sent a chill down his spine. His entire body flinching, the position from where heâs perched himself above a canopy of trees becoming unstable for just a moment. A moment and no more.
âY/N- You startled me.â
Scaleâs heart rate had spiked for a moment, his hands gripping the bark of the tree branch beneath his fingertips tightly to ensure he didnât lose balance.
âAww, I was hoping for a stronger reaction.â
A soft giggle slithered past your lips, your perch above Scale on the branch above giving you the best view of the small ninja who continued to glare up at you, lips pressed into a thin line and brows furrowed.
Your laugh, your damn laugh- Scale felt as if just hearing it took the very air straight from his throat whenever he heard it. Goosebumps quickly making themselves present along the skin of his arms underneath his clothes.
âPerhaps you ought to try a different technique that isnât sneaking up behind me and simply saying âBooâ.â
He finally manages to tear his eyes away from your alluring eyes, the hair on the back his neck standing as he attempted to force his attention elsewhere.
âOh, Iâll take your advice to heart~â
Your voice was no louder than a whisper, but it felt as if it had a grip over Scaleâs own heart.
