this is actually pretty accurate
So I lent a friend my copy of Point Pleasant, and while she hasn't read it yet, she was in awe of the art--shout out to Svetlana!--she has read the bits about The Blue Tulip, and we're both looking forward to it! I've been looking forward to The Blue Tulip since I've read it in the fic. And of course, your other works. I'm just so excite for them <3
Svetlana is magical, isn't she? *throws flower petals and dances*
Thank you, Anon. :) I'm looking forward to it, myself.Â
"It doesn't matter what you believe so long as you keep yourself open to belief" has gotta be my favourite line in the whole of Point Pleasant!
Me too, Anon. :)

Goodreads Giveaway Announcement
As itâs my birthday, I thought Iâd share some cheer and do a Goodreads giveaway for THREE copies of Point Pleasant in paperback form.Â
Iâve just sent in the application, so I will post the details for the giveaway as soon as the good people at GR approve the listing.
The giveaway will run for a month, so youâll have plenty of time to enter. Itâll be open to Goodreads members over the age of 18 who live in the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia.Â
Update: The giveaway is live!
Good luck!

Happy Birthday, lovely Jenna! â„ I hope youâre having a wonderful day!
Thank youuuu! So cute!Â
Point Pleasant is so good! I really liked the novel, though I was surprised, since I could never really bring myself to read the fanfiction. When is your next book coming out?
Thank you, Anon. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. :)Â
Camera Obscura should be out in a couple of months, but I'll have a collection of short horror stories out in the interim. Just need to finish off a story and work through the edits.
Do you ever count the words you write up in emails?
Because I just realized I've written almost 10k in just emails this morning, and I'm just like....what.
And because Iâve been a bad Instagrammer, the boyfriend bought me a Waterman for Christmas based off something he read about Stephen King writing with Waterman fountain pens. Sweet.
Why, yes. I do have Annie Wilkes taped to the inside door of my writing cupboard. Better her than me.
January 5, 2014:
6,400 words yesterday, but I fell asleep at an unusually reasonable hour last night, so I didn't manage to get this posted. Nevermind.
I actually didn't feel like writing at all yesterday, but it's amazing what happens when you sit down for an hour with the intention of just doing it. Nothing really monumental to make note of, really, but I'm pretty happy with the day's count.
I did end up reading quite a bit as well, though, so it was a pretty productive Sunday.
I've been reading the first draft of Isis's novel, Dire Little Dreams, and, because I'm trying to expand my reading this year by dipping my toe into genres I never read (romance, in this case), I picked up an indie book someone had recommended because it's apparently doing quite well on the charts. Wasn't terribly entertained by it, alas, but, again, I never read romance, so there's probably an enjoyment-level curve. Ah well. Horizons broadened somewhat.
Now I'm off to avoid Tumblr for the rest of the day because I didn't get a chance to watch Sherlock last night, so I'm sure thar be spoilers in these here waters.
January 4, 2014:
4,200 words for today. Not quite on schedule with where I want to be, but I decided to write up a scene for earlier on Camera Obscura to correspond with something I am building toward with the end.Â
I'd really like to finish this off in time for my birthday next week so that I can leave it to rest for a week or so while I complete Jawbreakers. We'll see if that happens.
I'm going to revert back to writing in the mornings come Monday since I have some extra time off and the boyfriend will be back at work as well. It's been nice to spend lots of extra time together. We're never usually off at the same time. But it's definitely harder to hit the word counts I really want when I don't have as much quiet time. :P
We did watch Drew: The Man Behind the Poster and went out for a late Nandos, though, so it was a lovely Saturday night.
I think I'm going to make a Turkish coffee, courtesy of eleventhtardis, and get back to working on this later chapter.
There are people you need to leave behind, They just dirty up your mouth, They donât value your treasure. You fall down, you kiss up, you love them. Itâs not enough. Theyâre nothing special and youâre such a gift. If you had no magic here youâd be just like everyone else. Imagine the tragedy. You must change your life. You are never ready. Love is like crying like writing like dying. You have to do it alone. I know itâs tragic to be tender. I know itâs dangerous to be kind. I know itâs vicious to care. Listen to me. I know whatâs going to happen to you. You donât need a window, you need a fire escape. Youâll need a skylight to get where youâre going. I canât tell you where.
