i want to love fashion in general, but keeping up with what’s “new and in” is so hard when you don’t have the cash. Plus- most of the time the people who are “in” can be pretty pretentious. like I’ll go to the thrift store and hunt down styles that are almost identical to what’s trending, and when people compliment and ask where it’s from, when I say it’s thrifted- they look disgusted, lol. it’s whatever tho. as long as I’m wearing clothes and it’s cute then it’s whateve.

Isn’t it crazy how every black girl with a big nose is gorgeous
To be Black in American is to be inherently politicized, our hair, our behavior, our deaths, our skin, our triumphs, our very existence. We didn’t do this to ourselves, nor did we ask, nor did we want to even be here but we are despite everything done to us. We here, Black and bold as shit. People keep asking why it’s such a big deal to mention race or politics when speaking on the Olympics and Black American athletes, why not just call them American…because that’s erasure of years of getting to this point. Our race has been a talking point, point of contention, and focus since Jesse Owens won 4 medals but couldn’t come in the front door at home in the United States. That’s why it matters because 50 years ago we couldn’t legally swim in pools or beaches and got acid thrown on us to deter us from swimming but yesterday Simone Manuel opened up doors thought impossible in 2016. Not the 70s, 80s or hell even the 90s; in the 21st century that is astounding and speaks to so much more than a simple gold medal. We did not ask for this nor did these athletes ask for the burden of being the first Black *insert here* and holding that collective weight, but here we are in 2016 still breaking firsts. That’s why it matters.

Unpopular opinion
Cinnamon Toast Crunch is overrated and tastes like cardboard with sugar on it.
