“It’s okay, sometimes it’s a good thing--it’s a type of sense of humor, and it develops a coping mechanism, healthy even if used correctly. But sometimes it’s difficult to detect and can cause problems. I don’t blame you, though, so don’t worry about it.”
“True, but, there’s a difference between waiting for something you’re meant to be waiting for, and then forced to wait for something that never should’ve been separated in the first place.”
"I wish they cared about their fans more than money, but that’s obviously not how the world works.”
Jenna smiled at his suggestion, “Sounds like a wise plan,” she agreed, before taking the beer gratefully from him. “Sure, let’s go,” she nodded, cracking open her beer. “What’s their name?”
“I am one-hundred-percent the second type, too.”
“Is there a reason why filmmakers feel the need to split finales of series into Part Ones and Part Twos?”
“— money? i thought that was pretty obvious.”
“Yeah, I guess so logically. It’s just frustrating.”
“Is there a reason why filmmakers feel the need to split finales of series into Part Ones and Part Twos?”
“Sometimes I like working as a bar waitress but sometimes I don’t– Wish men could lay off sometimes, I’m just trying to do my fricking job.” She let out an angry huff while pushing her hair out of her face. “Sorry– just stressed out.”
“Go ahead and complain all you want, girl,” she reassured her shaking her head. “Men are such douchebags sometimes.”
“Oh..” Jenna bit her lip, unsure how to react to him. “I did take it as sarcastic.” She tried to smile softly, “I guess people are far too sarcastic these days, it’s hard to know when someone genuinely appreciates you.”
Jenna blinked, taken aback, and frowned at him. “Okay then...whatever.”
She smiled softly, “That’s good to know,” she laughed a little. Jenna followed the boy to the food truck and slipped her hands into her pockets when they got there. “I’ll take a beer,” she told him. “But that’s expensive--I wouldn’t mind paying.”
“Cracked my phone screen and lost my wallet! This has to be my lucky day.”
“I feel your pain, I am so sorry, that’s awful.”
I’m pretty sure there’s a nice park near Treelane Drive, and I can’t recall any park near Foxtree.
Okay, do you remember anything about your street? What was near it?

She blinked at him. She smiled a little, “That’s kind of sweet, actually. But...” She tilted her head at him, “Why didn’t you just...say hi?”
