omg guys ik im late but if anyoneâs here iâd really like to stay in touch and this is my personal <3Â
âI knew you woud be interestedâ Lovie smiled at Carolynâs expression. âI really need a day off, so if youâre really that interested I think we have the time to do it all. And my room is clean, my closet just doesnât have⊠letâs say a storage method⊠everything is mixed with everything⊠Youâre probably the best person to the task. Just go easy on me when you send me the billâ Lovie chuckled, as they both headed to her place, it was that far off and she was opening her front door in no time. âCome on in, make yourself at homeâÂ
Carolyn fell into step with Lovie silently, following her back to her place and content that she had finally found something to distract her from the piles of homework awaiting back home. She pondered for a moment, âYou wouldnât happen to have any extra bins anywhere, would you? I like clear ones. Usually I donât want to add more while trying to organize but.....if everything is as mixed up as you said, it could be helpful.â Her speech was broken by a small laugh as she wiped her shoes before following Lovie inside. âDonât worry, this oneâs free of charge.â
Rachel resisted the urge to roll her eyes, endeared at her friendâs enthusiasm. âThat is⊠perfect, actually. Youâd make it work. I was thinking I could use one of those old wedding dresses we keep around and do a whole corpse bride look, really bring to life the effects marriage has on people.â
Just imagining the picture in her head seemed perfect, a natural fit for Rachel. Carolyn shook her head almost fondly. âIf I didnât know you, I would probably be worried for your emotional state, considering you throw yourself into a job thatâs everything you stand against. Are you going to have cut apart the wedding dress? Just donât make me watch. My soul will probably die.â
Of course he hadnât even introduced himself yet. Noah felt like a right idiot at this point. He wasnât going to eat anything anyway, but just needed a water as well. âIâm Noah,â he managed a small, somewhat shy smile. âSorry about this. I will order it all now,â he went ahead and found someone before returning with two waters. It only took a few minutes before the chicken wrap was on the side of her table too.Â
Noah studied her for a bit while taking a large sip of his drink. This festival was killing him already. Stuff wasnât working, all these shitty tools and now he bumped into a pretty girl. Her eyes were so out of this world. âYou have really nice eyes.â He still hadnât asked for her damn name.
âNoah,â Carolyn nodded. His name didnât ring any bells, neither did his face and Carolyn liked to think sheâd acquainted herself with most of the residents in Providence, despite itâs size and her reluctance to do so at first. It was no matter though, as their spell of silence continued even after heâd gone for water and her food arrived. While biting into the wrap, she realized that he had never asked for her own name. It was probably for the best, if the way he kept staring at her like she was an otherworldly being was anything to go by.Â
The blonde was genuinely surprised at the compliment, albeit a shy and weirdly place one. She raised her eyebrows in acknowledgement, she exclaimed âthanksâ in between bites. A beat. Then, Carolynâs eyes flickered between the other wrap on her plate and Noah, âAre you sure you donât want anything to eat?â
âand somehow i donât believe that. â listen, iâm just ⊠not in the mood for you prying into my stuff, carolyn, alright? chill out.â
âFine fine fine, donât start freaking out now. Iâll do something else for fun. Otherwise, how is your day going?â
â wouldnât it be super cute ? you⊠me⊠our shared cups and plates. how do you feel about moving to kenya for a year or two ? â
âGod yes, our cute throw pillows and lavender soaps in all the wardrobes and liquor trolley in Ken...Kenya?!?!...Why? I know you love wildlife and all but..canât we go somewhere else? Compromise?â
-laughs- I guess youâre right.Â
Iâm not the first to say I know a lot about the adulting world, but money is something I definitely understand. Howâve you been?Â

ari: what r u up to ??
carolyn: trying not to think about dick, thanks to you
carolyn: nm, it's too humid for my hair to be out anyway
â I work as a mechanic.âÂ
âNow I see how the overalls come in handy. Well, I can arrange overalls; I can also take you out to buy some other wardrobe choices if the idea ever fancies you.â
â how about we do both and you move in officially ? i downloaded the series box-set of gilmore girls and i donât want to go through it alone. â
âIâm sorry I didnât quite catch what you said after me moving in because it felt like an angel was singing in my ear.â
I would say yes, but I think youâre biting off more than you can chew, my friend. My closet could eat someoneâs soul, I swear.
Seriously, itâs fine. I would still take that over school and Iâve got a great eye for matching complimentary colours.
âif thatâs the case, by all means, go for it.â max laughed. âmy fiancee will probably be relieved to see that my side of the room isnât in complete shambles anymore.â
âIs that really a yes?? Are finally going to have a Caroyn and Max shopping trip?!? And exactly! Start things off on a sweet note.â

ari: does it sound like a good thing to you ?? srs ??
carolyn: ...................
carolyn: it's a sad world for everyone
âOf course you areâ Lovie grinned âA brilliant mess, thatâs whatâs on my closet⊠Why donât you just see for yourself?â Lovie raised an eyebrow at Carolyn âCome on, I have coffee and fresh cupcakes, you can start procrastinating even without stepping in my closetâŠâ
âIâm not going to lie, that sounds really appealing right now. Fresh cupcakes? The magic words.â Carolyn couldnât help the small smile that crept up her lips âBut....I kind of also want to take a peek in your closet. Trust me, a clean room is like a fresh mind set!â
books & conversation || carolyn & kirk
This was working better than he had imagined. Not only was it creative but it made more room for Kirk to walk around in instead of trying to weave his way past the stacks of books that used to be strewn about.
But the moment she had mentioned his bedroom, Kirk flushed only to look off too the side a bit as he was getting embarrassed. âActuallyâ my room is quite a mess too. Books everywhere on the floor.. papers.â Wow, he really needed to get himself together.
âBest not to go in there, you might trip on something.â He chuckled playfully before placing more books over another to create another stack; making sure it was leveled with the other to create a table.
However it was while he listened to Carolynâs rambling, he froze upon her words only to turn his head slightly to look at her with an astonished expression.
âYou donât read much do you?â Kirk looked around frantically at his books before grabbing one from his pile. While trying to remove the dust he handed it to her only to smile a bit.
âHereâ Itâs a start but.. You may like it.â In big bold letters it had the title âRed Dragonâ. âItâs actually one of my many favorite mystery novels out there. I really recommend it.â Kirk had put emphasis on his words as if he was serious about this. Thing is.. he was.
Carolyn was confused, to say the least, when the topic of his bedroom made Kirk just as jumpy as when he had brought her into his home in the first place. She was sure he wasnât harbouring anything like that in there, but it would have been interesting to get a glimpse into his personal crevice as well.Â
For the sake of easing him out of his jitters, Carolyn played along with the chuckles, nodding her head and resisting the urge to raise an eyebrow. Her gaze faltered when Kirk rushed to make another side table. It was honestly impressive, his ability to pick up her tasteful eye so quickly.Â
Well, almost - she saw after quickly whipping up one of her own and turning back around.Â
He was looking at her like that again. It didnât bother her, on the other hand, Carolyn was intrigued to see what he really cared about it. As if she couldnât already figure it out.Â
âNo. Not really, thatâs what I just said.â The blonde frowned when she took the book from him, turning it over in her hands and flipping through the pages disdainfully. It was definitely seemed like a book she would walk by upon first glance.Â
âUm alright. It looks really........long. And intense. Not going to give me any nightmares, is it?â she joked.
outgoing ; MASS TEXT.
ari: so update to all contacts
ari: status - not sucking a dick
carolyn: is. is that a good thing??
âi â okay, then. i mean ⊠no, my closet doesnât need organizing. i donât know how many cups of coffee you had, but organize someone elseâs personal belongings.â
âOne, actually, in the interest of my health. And wow, alright, someone is sensitive about the skeletons in their closet.â
