Epilepsy problems

Being epileptic and people not realising that you can feel like shit at anytime, not just before or after a seizure.

you do not need to call 911 for every seizure!

WHY?

seizures usually only last a few seconds to a few minutes so it is usually best to let the seizure run its course. because if you call an ambulance the seizure will more than likely have stopped before they got there. 

CALL 911 FOR HELP IF:

A seizure lasts longer than 5 minutes (status epilepticus)

Repeated seizures occur without the person regaining consciousness

Seizures happen more closely together than usual

The person has trouble breathing or is choking

The seizure occurs in water

An injury has occurred during the seizure

The person asks for medical help
