Gosh, that Adam Scott is a dreamboat! Let’s go explode some ovaries, buddy.
Resurfacing this because I just looked through 3000 favorites for it.

I love Kurt Vile so much it makes me want to lay face down on the ground and cry.
That felt good.

120 Minutes Guests - 1992 (feat. Courtney Love’s original face)
Didn't catch the artist's name before this installation was removed.

Everything used to be prettier.

Ten years ago I lived in Brooklyn around the corner from Union Pool. It seems like forever and ever ago.
Jinx One
By Chicago artist Dmitry Samarov. Taken from his 2010 blog post on coffee shops, a post that left me with an incredible ache to be able to look into the past, just for a few seconds.
More of his work here.
Rock music in the 80s was SO TOUGH.
Robert Heinecken - Are You Rea #1
So this should have been super great but with terrible “questions” from the host (Did you mean to make the movie look like a pop-up book?) and the audience (What is your favorite Chicago baseball team?; What are some on-set disasters?) it was really more embarrassing to witness than anything. Anderson, however, gracefully handled it with wit and aplomb.
Jingle Me!

Cute overload.
I leave in less than two weeks. With no wi-fi and no power-charging source in economy (plus!) I have one current iPhone, one old iPhone, one old iPod mini, a Kindle, and work MacBook that I'm dragging along and need to fill with stuff to watch & listen to & read & entertain me for almost 15 hours. There might also be an analog book or two.
I am not relishing this particular part of the journey but know I will have the time of my life once I arrive.
Top 10 Moments of 2013:
- Watching Aaron Rodgers & the Packers beat the Vikings at Lambeau in January in negative-degree temps
- Birthday dinner at Gene & Georgetti with my husband
- Meeting my mom in New Mexico and driving down Route 66 through Albuquerque, stopping every two minutes to both take snaps of the old neon signs.
- Riding the teacups at Disney Land with my niece and nephew
- Seeing a blue whale surface over and over again from a whale watching boat off Long Beach
- Seeing my little sister graduate from college
- Seeing Comedy Bang! Bang! live with my very favorite Paul F. Tompkins
- Wedding anniversary trip to Montreal and seeing the Chihuly exhibit
- Seeing The Cure at Austin City Limits festival
- Seeing The Divine Fits play at a small Austin club at their possible last show ever
And like 100 others. It's been a really good year.
Flat Iron.
I'm only a good 3 eBay auctions away from having everything I need for my own little spare-room print shop. Like grandfather like granddaughter.
