“In a sense, I have reached, what is for me a final destination.”
“That sounded like one of those poems on the inner flap of a magazine.”
“Did she even have a family?”
“When is the funeral?”
“Well, if you must know…”
“So tell me, has it helped you make sense of things?”
“The sun climbs high in the sky, then starts down. People come, then go. The time breezes by.”
“How much time?”
“Tell me, have you ever thought of killing me?”
“I am afraid I am not the killer type.”
“Not today. I am having trouble talking.”
“Sometimes I get real lonely sleeping with you.”
“I am only saying its up to you.”
“No, either way is not fine with me.”
“Mine is the kind of ordinary story no one could possibly enjoy.”
“Your boredom might not be as hardcore as you think.”
“I can not believe you are the same human being.”
“A duty. Dry and tasteless, like chewing newsprint. But that’s okay. Nothing bad about fulfilling a duty, you know.”
“Just how urgent is it?”
“How did you know?”
“Odd, they were here just yesterday.”
“I’d like to catch the end of an afternoon nap.”
“Please do take your time.”
“My hands are numb, its like they are not my own hands. My brains, they are not like my own brains either.”
“It’s got to be an inborn fault; naturally everyone has faults.”
“It is time for you to be going.”
“That’s the spirit.”
“There has been a small change in plans.”
“You’ll be in a lot of trouble if you don’t.”
“How is it you know something like that?”
“That’s all you can say?”
“If you wanted to take me along, I surely would be a help.”
“I don’t mind. Your mess is my mess.”
“Let’s just go to bed.”
“I hope I did not wake you.”
“Well then, cheers.”
“Everybody has one thing they do not want to lose.”
“Hardly the question, I am unrelated.”
“I’ll be late tonight, so don’t wait up for me.”
“Oops completely slipped my mind, but don’t worry I will take care of it.”
“You are somewhat off base, but you do quite well for an amateur.”
“Out of the question.”
“One month, two months, three months. I really don’t know. Maybe I will never come back.”
“This is all confidential, you understand. If it gets out, it could mean a lot of trouble for you.”
“It won’t work, I know it won’t.”
“It’ll be fine, I tell you.”
“Nothing I’ve tried to do by myself has ever come off.”
“I have been through it all with you. So, I know, no problem.”
“Is it alright to talk now?”
“I am not catching you in the middle of anything important, am I?”
