âOr maybe weâre both distracted.â Cecilia replied with a light shrug. âIt was probably nothing important, since I think we wouldâve remembered if it was.â Her memory wasnât usually this bad, so thatâs why she assumed it was just a case of distraction mixed with lack of importance. Besides, she was way more preoccupied with their food anyway. Once Cece got comforable on the couch again, she averted her gaze to the tv, trying to pay attention to whatever was on, but she figured that chatting with Jer was more enjoyable. âI still canât believe you needed some random stranger to remind you that, J.â She chuckled softly, playfully shoving him, before leaning closer to Jeremiah and resting her head against his shoulder for a bit there.
Comfort came with time for her⊠enjoying others presence and the closeness, too. âLeftover pizza is the breakfast from Gods. You canât tell my mom I said that, but we both know itâs true.â While Cecilia wasnât exactly used to eating pizza for breakfast, she had to admit that cold pizza was better than the one freshly out of the oven. âIâwent to Andrewâs apartment.â There wasnât much change in her voice. Given how open she was with Jeremiah, this wouldnât be the first time Cecilia wouldâve mentioned Andrew to him either, so the name came out as natural as possible. âWe kind of made out at the party. It was weird to say the least⊠nothing happened, though. He fell asleep, I tucked him in, then went to bed myself.â She was only now realizing just how long it had taken for her to mention it to her best friend, which was probably because it wasnât that big of a deal in the first place. âIâm glad nothing happened though. I think it wouldâve been weird.â Cece glanced down at her hands for a minute there, before leaning away from Jer so she could look at him. âHas anything like that ever happened to you? Kissing a friend and stuffâŠâ
âNow, heâs not some random stranger, now heâs the coolest stranger. And, sometimes, I donât have the best memory in the world. Youâll notice it as time passes by,â he teased, flashing a smile at his friend, while looking at her. It was good to have Cecilia around, it was a strong bond that came out of nowhere and he didnât mind that at all. It was a sense of family that he always got from friends, she was one of them. âAnd I wonât tell your mother that, do you really think Iâm a snitch, Cece? Come on! We smoke pot together, if there was something Iâd tell your mother, that would be it, but then... sheâd probably think Iâm the bad influence and tell you to stay away from me.â
And then, once their subject changed, Jeremiah raised an eyebrow. Silence was all he could offer to the brunette while she was sharing everything she needed to, and he waited until it was his turn to talk, though he didnât know if he was the best person to give someone advice. âHow do you kind of make out with someone? Youâve made out, right? It happened.â He questioned. It was weird, it was weird because both of them were great friends of Jeremiah, and he should be careful about his own words. He needed a beer or ten. âAnd itâs not weird now? Everythingâs okay between you two? Or are you just lying to yourself because itâs safer? Because, honestly, I always do that whenever I have to face some awkward situation,â he really wasnât the best person for advices. âNot really, I havenât had a serious relationship in a while nor have I felt that I wanted to kiss a friend. Both of my ex-girlfriends werenât really a friend before we had a relationship, so I really donât know how does it work. Or how awkward it can be. But, I guess you should talk to each other, to clear the air.â
