#iamdiversebeauty 💫 I don't normally shoot nudes. But when I do - its by a truly professional and a wonderful human such as @alexilubomirski 👌🏼 I was honored to pose for his book "Diverse Beauty" that is now available for purchase. Its message is to praise beauty in all its unique types and forms, find features that stand out of our typical ideas of what is beautiful, embrace it, accent it the right way and fall in love with it. All proceeds from sales of this book go to humanitarian charity fund @concernworldwide 💙 Lets all celebrate our uniqueness! Post a photo of yourself with a hashtag #iamdiversebeauty for the world to see 💋💙🤘🏽 #concernworldwide #alexilubomirski #jerrrablues #inkedjerrra #altmodel

People are drawn to beautiful things, it's probably incoded somewhere in our dna. But there are different kinds of beauty. The kind people are born with and the kind they develop. Something given and something acquired. Something free and something earned. Feel me? Photo by @dzcs4u #jerrrablues #inkedjerrra

Horizon Alfa was a great read, I could see it being used as a plot for a movie, reminded me of lots of my favorite books, enjoyed descriptions and sudden dangers in the story. Suggest to everyone, very easy and entertaining.

The art of shadow from Marzio Yah
Joe the Bird Man
Yesterday I met Joe. Joe is homeless. He's probably around 32 years old, long curly blond hair and a beard. He caught my attention strangely walking back and forth on a dark Brooklyn street and held something moving in his hands. Every time he lifted his palms up it would flip its wings and I was suddenly facing the idea that he was torturing a bird. Then I realized it actually was 2 birds, one in each hand. My heart skipped a beat but I still wasn't sure what he was doing. So I just stood there stupefied. He noticed our stare and a few minutes later crossed the street in the location of our shoot. "Hey guys do you shop at Century 21? People give me gift cards but I don't need anything from that store." I tried to politely refuse but found it was easier to get rid of him if I accepted it, so I took it and thanked him as he turned around to leave. "Oh by the way do you know where Target is? I could totally use the one I have for Target." We told him there's one at Atlantic terminal off of G train and he left us be. "Still creepy" thought I and we continued the shoot. Marzio placed his light in front of the fence which put me in a position of looking directly at the "bird man". And I was watching him intently. He had a medium sized box on a ground where he would pick up a bird from and walk with it a few steps back and forth, then place it back in the box and take a different one to do the same thing. Over and over again like some kind of a ritual. He seemed to be eating something too, which made it look even more disturbing. I tried to distract and invest more of myself into the shoot. A few snaps later we were done and began to wrap. I turned to check on our guy and what I saw completely blew me away. He was now throwing the bird up in the air and it would flip her wings in vein for a few seconds only to inevitably hit the floor like some broken toy. I was infuriated. He knew we were watching and kept doing it anyway. I decided to gather my guts together and finally confront him but he beat me to it. "I teach him to fly"- as he started in our direction,-"you wanna see? I found him abandoned on a street. Him and another one. They were on a ground together. I passed them by and came back in a couple of hours they were still there, so I took em." He showed us a poor creature, it had fur missing in the back of his head and under his wings. We proceeded to the box where he had 2 more pigeons. One was all white and beautiful, the other was dark, dirty and very small. Neither one could fly. He gave me a little one and explained how to hold it right and shared some facts about birds in general. He says he's new to it and became a "bird man" a few months ago. He said there's only one shelter in the city that takes pigeons, but the guy who runs it only takes the ones he rescues himself. So these guys live in a box next to Joe's sleeping blanket. There were others before but someone let them out from an open box while he was asleep. I guess whoever did it thought he was setting them free. When Joe woke up they were already squashed flat on the driveway. Poor bastards. So we were relieved to learn that Joe wasn't some creepy animal abuser but a rather adequate human being. That made his character even more intriguing because I wondered what his story was, how did he end up here. He asked where we were from and I used an opportunity to inquire about his background. So here it is: Joe is from Elizabeth, NJ. He loves the woods and all activities that are nature related. He graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, worked as a camera person at Fox News and got laid off due to major cuts in the light of bankruptcy the channel was facing a couple of years ago. He took some other jobs, struggled and got sick of everything, packed his bag and went on a road. He's traveled through 38 states! And somewhere up in Northern California he broke his leg. He came back to NY for supposedly better health care where he was fixed up and prescribed for painkillers e.i. oxycodone. Long story short - Joe became a drug addict. First it was for pain, then prescription wore off but pain remained and he started buying his medication of the streets. It didn't take long for him to become addicted to the high itself. Now he's not doing oxi, he's currently on methadone. Trying to pull himself together he couch-surfs at friends places, got himself a part time job and a few furry friends to take care of. Joe is a nice fella, well spoken and educated. He's not the first person I know who's been hooked on narcotics by certified drug dealers. Not the first who's been abandoned and left on a street. I doubt he'll find himself another Joe to pick him up and teach him how to fly. He'd have to be that Joe. Until then he's got another kind of "pick me up".
What happens when you're trying to take a selfie and a local homeless guy offers you drugs for a 1000s time 🙈😂 Don't think bad of him, he's a sweetheart 😄
It's an art to discover the beauty in others. I'm grateful to photographers I work with for showing me mine. Shoot with Nihilistic Dreamer
Picking a design for your tattoo. This moment in your life has arrived and you are ready to place a permanent gift of art on your body. Picking the right design can be a very tricky and confusing process. Ideally it supposed to compliment your body shape and say something about your personality. I suggest you never look for design among other tattoos you've seen online or on real people, don't rip off someone else's ideas, you will never enjoy it as much as your own custom tattoo. Popular trends pass and tattoos remain with you irrevocably. (Even if you laser it away it will leave a scar and most people just cover it up with another tattoo. Double pain, double expense, double hassle.) Plus it's unprofessional for a tattoo artist to copy work of a fellow colleague. Look among symbols that mean something to you, paintings or photographs that speak to you, styles you love, colors that make you happy, your favorite movies, music, books, characters etc. With the equipment and supplies that are available nowadays in the market it is possible to make magnificent art, don't cut yourself short. This is your body and you are the artist, own it. Try to narrow down your vision to a particular style you want this tattoo to be done in. Color or black & gray, graphic or illustrative, realistic or abstract, maybe a combination of two or three. Traditional, neo-traditional, new school, watercolor, geometry, black work, dot work, mandala etc. You don't need to have the final design ready, leave some room for artist to create. Once you have gathered some ideas and somewhat know which style you would prefer you can start looking for the right man for the job and that by itself is a separate topic. You are one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.
It's very nice of you to say that :)
A lot of people ask me if my throat was painful to do. You can see by my face - I thought I was dying.😅 it's a very upsetting and humiliating experience. I always imagined myself a strong trooper tattoo getter type of human but that one piece of art really made me weep and beg for mercy.🙈 Afterwards I have seen a few men cry and shiver while getting a throat tattoo so that certainly helped to recuperate my self esteem lol 😅 I'm grateful to @red_lenara for doing a beautiful job designing and delivering a high quality tattoo, it was definitely worth all the pain 🙏🏽 That being said - tattoos are painful, some more or less than the other. Choose your designs and your artists wisely ☝🏼️☝🏼☝🏼, do your research, think it through, plan in advance and tip your artist.👆🏼 I'll be posting some thoughts on picking the right design soon.✌🏼️ Follow me on #tumblr #jerrrablues #inkedjerrra #kzn #lepra #red_lenara #throattattoo #tattooadvise #vishuddhachakra #vishuddha #tattoo (at ул.Петербургская)

I think we can now all agree that our planet is undergoing a phenomenal change. It's technically supposed to still be winter here in NY.
