Activity Check #5
A Moment that affected Jesse's life.
It had been a long old week for Jesse. He had to figure out what he wanted to do in college and apply soon or it would bee to late. He knew that he wanted to be able to help people much like Meredith and Derek did, but he wasn't sure of himself and whether he could manage that.
Today he was shadowing Derek and after a page to the ER he was with his father trying to get a feel as to whether he would be able to cope with things. After his father had given a patient bad news, Jesse headed out of the ER and into the Ambulance Bay to get some air. That was when a truck pulled up and a male fell out of the door onto the floor with an open abdomen wound.
He looked to the man before moving forward and applying pressure onto the wound "I need some help..." he shouted before looking back to the man. "PAGE DR GREY!" he exclaimed again. Soon a gurny wasout and he was being lifted onto it before climbing onto the gurney to try and apply as much pressure to the wound as possible.
Once at the OR, his mother scrubbed in and watched her son. Once she instructed him to let go, he did and allowed blood to flow out as his mother started to work on the bleed. He left the OR and waited on the stair well and his father came and sat on the step next to Jesse. A few hours later, his mother came out and smiled at Jesse. "You saved that mans life... well done baby... I told you you could handle being a doctor." Meredith said before huigging her tightly.
That moment stayed with him through his pre med course and now at the start of his medical degree. He always remembered that moment and knew that that is when he choice to follow his dream of become a surgeon.
