Day 3: Gaming/Watching a Movie
Summary: They play a game and watch a movie. And it’s only them two and it’s really cute and fluffy. And I’m a proud mom, so I hope y’all enjoy it as well. *Insert heart-eye emoji here, but it's my face instead*
Lucas was sat on Farkle’s bed and Farkle was hanging off of it, his head facing the tv. Both had a Nintendo Switch joy-con in hand, playing Mario Kart. Farkle was in first while Lucas was in ninth, and they had just started the third lap.
Lucas bites his lip and concentrates on the screen as he gets a blue shell and a star power-up. He throws the blue shell and hits the bumper again using his star power-up.
“What the heck?”, Farkle yells at the screen as the blue shell comes whirling around and he doesn’t have a super horn to protect himself. Lucas can’t help it as he laughs at Farkle and passes him, finishing in third place. Farkle growls as he comes in fifth.
“I win”, Lucas says throwing his fist in the air.
“I hate you”, Farkle says crossing his arms and sitting up facing the Texan. “I think that’s enough Mario Kart for tonight”, he adds grabbing the joy-con from Lucas. He rolls off the bed and puts the joy-cons on the doc. “Movie?”, He asks turning to look at Lucas over his shoulder. Lucas nods as Farkle pulls out a small collection of movies, setting them in front of Lucas.
“I don’t really get the appeal of these superhero movies”, Lucas says looking at the collection of mainly Marvel movies. He holds up a copy of Avengers.
“That is because you, my friend, have never watched them all”, Farkle says plucking the case out of the taller boy’s hand. “And also because you’re a neanderthal”, Farkle says smirking at the other boy.
“No I think that’s the problem, there’s too many of them”, Lucas says gesturing to the pile in front of him, choosing to ignore Farkle’s last comment.
“No if you watch them all in order, you’ll see that they are amazing”, Farkle says crossing his arms.
“Fine you’re on”, Lucas says crossing his arms, paralleling Farkle’s. At Farkle’s raised eyebrow Lucas continues, “If you’re wrong and I hate them, then you have to come to a baseball game with me”, Lucas says holding out his hands.
“Okay, and when you do love them, you’ll come to the premiere of Endgame with Riley, Maya, Zay, Smackle, and me”, Farkle says putting his hand out. At Lucas’s confused look he continues, “The next movie in the series”. Lucas just nods as he shakes the smaller boy’s hand.
Four hours later has Lucas’s eyes glued to the screen as they start Thor (skipping over The Incredible Hulk). Farkle just ran into the kitchen to get more popcorn. Lucas doesn’t even look at him as he leaves and reenters the room.
Just puts his hand in the bowl of popcorn, his hand runs into another one. He does look over now and sees Farkle’s eyes now facing forward. He watches the other boy as he intertwines their fingers, the younger boy gaping.
“Is this okay?”, Lucas says barely a whisper. Farkle looks over at him and nods, face lit from the light of the screen. His face is bright red and Lucas just runs his thumb over the other boy’s knuckles.
Halfway through Captain America: The First Avenger, Farkle’s hand is limp in Lucas’s grasp. Lucas looks over and sees the other boy has dozed off. He smiles as gently lays the brunette down, before turning his attention back to the screen.
Farkle wakes up wrapped in another pair of arms. He looks over and sees a sleeping Lucas next to him, he smiles as his face turns red. He looks over at the screen seeing it back on the start menu and not paused, he scowls.
“Did you watch Captain America without me?”, Farkle asks glaring at the other boy, his voice piercing through the still sleeping teen's ears.
“What?”, Lucas asks looking over at the other boy, as he keeps his arm wrapped around his waist. Farkle reasks the question, pouting at the half-asleep boy.
“It was halfway through and I didn’t know where the controller was, so I just finished it before laying down”, Lucas answers honestly.
“Okay”, Farkle says turning over, trying to dislodge himself from Lucas’s embrace.
“Hey, it’s not that big a deal, you’ve seen it a bunch of times right?”, Lucas asks pulling Farkle closer with his arm.
“Yeah”, Farkle says, still facing away. “It’s just that it’s one of my favorite of the movies and Cap is my favorite”, Farkle whispers flipping over to face Lucas again. He gasps at how close their faces our.
“Hey, we can just rewatch it now and continue after that”, Lucas says as Farkle tries to move away, he just holds him there. They both just look at each other, seeing all the little imperfections on each others’ faces. They lay breathing the same air, for a few moments. Then Farkle jumps up excitedly, almost falling off the bed.
“I’ll go get us some cereal, then we can rewatch it”, He says walking to the door, but turning to look at Lucas smiling timidly. Lucas smiles at the other boy, entranced by his best friend.
“Wait! I don’t think you have any milk left”, Lucas calls after he remembers. |
“Why”, Farkle asks popping his head back through the doorframe.
“Remember when Zay was here to spend the night too yesterday”, Lucas starts and Farkle nods. Lucas continues, “Well before his dad called to tell him he was grounded he ate like three bowls of cereal”.
“He was here for fifteen minutes”, Farkle says in disbelief. Lucas just gives a nervous chuckle while shrugging. Farkle shakes his head as he walks from the room again. He calls over his shoulder, “I guess we’ll just have pop tarts then”.
Ship: Farkle and Lucas, still not dating but super cute fluffiness. Could be in the same universe in the last one or read on its own. *Smiles* Also I’m almost an hour late, I’m sorry... *Pouts*
Day 2: Cuddling Somewhere
Summary: Again these two are just being hopelessly in love without realizing. And they’re at a sleepover. And there’s cuddling, also I don’t know if it was supposed to be cuddling intentionally or accidental while asleep. So I gave you a little bit of both. *Awkward Smile*
When Riley realizes Smackle has never had a sleepover, she decides the girls are having one this weekend. Which causes Zay to request the boys have one too. Farkle reluctantly agrees after Zay asks him for two hours straight.
The girls' sleepover goes on without a hitch. Well, it goes like every sleepover Riley and Maya have. And that brings us to the boys, all sitting on Farkle’s bedroom floor. Just sitting there after their third round of Call of Duty: Zombies.
“What do we do now?”, Lucas asks setting down his controller and turning to look at Zay.
“Don’t look at me, I don't know what to do”, Zay says shrugging.
“You’re the one who wanted to have a sleepover, how do you not know what to do”, Farkle asks him, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow.
“Well I just assumed that we do whatever the girls do, they always have fun”, Zay says crossing his arms, mimicking Farkle.
“Well there’s only one way to know what the girls are doing right now”, Lucas says turning to Farkle.
“Bay Window, Bay Window right now” Farkle answers Lucas’s unasked question, jumping up he’s already at the door before Zay even registers what they’re doing.
At first, the boys crowd the window and peer in, trying to see what the girls are doing. It looks like Smackle’s reading something and Maya and Riley are talking. The scene looks just like any other time the group would hangout.
Farkle and Zay both trying to get closer and hear what’s being said at the same time. Causing Farkles knee to hit the window and all the girls to look to the noise, in confusion. Both boys jump and hide behind Lucas, as Maya opens the door, hairbrush in hand.
“Huckleberry?”. Maya asks putting the hairbrush down and raising an eyebrow, mirroring Farkle’s from earlier.
“We were wondering just what it is you girls do at a sleepover”, Farkle says popping out from behind Lucas, after Lucas just stared silently at Maya.
“And boringly it’s just sitting around and talking and reading”, Zay says popping up from behind both boys.
“Actually boys we were just taking a quiz on How to Know If the Boy Is the One”, Smackle says walking up to the window, holding a Seventeen magazine.
“Oh let me see”, Farkle says climbing through the window, and squeezing past Lucas. Lucas just shrugs and follow as Farkle tries to grab the magazine from Smackle.
“You can come in too, Zay, Riley calls from her spot on her bed.
“Thank you”, he says as he bows and comes through the window.
“We actually just finished that quiz and now we're going to start another one and paint our toenails”, Riley says jumping off her bed and grabs a basket full of nail polishes. She grabs Farkle’s hand and pulls him onto a spot on the floor.
“Well Huckleberry, I’m not doing yours, so you might as well make yourself useful”, Maya says shaken her barefoot in front of Lucas. Lucas rolls his eyes and goes to grab a polish from Riley.
“Well, you heard the women, Huckleberry.”, Zay says as he sits down next to Maya, in front of Lucas. Farkle giggles at the sight and from the cold of the polish touching his toenail, as Riley gets started with her masterpiece.
“And I’ll read the next quiz”, Smackle says holding up another magazine. As they all nod she reads off the title, “Should Your BFF Continue to be your BFF, Become Your BF, or Should You Just Get a New One.”
“Riley you and your best friend are BFF goals, stay that way for as long as possible”, Smackle says after they all finish answering the quiz. “Which means Maya got the same thing”, she continues. Maya reaches over to high five Riley. “Farkle and Lucas, both got your BFF should become your BF”, Smackle reads, scratching her head.
“Huh, must be because they’re both boys”, Riley says shrugging.
“Yeah, but Zay got is your BFF even a guy”, Smackle reads squinting.
“Hey, does that mean it thought me and Riley were boys”, Maya asks scowling.
“And I got that I need a BFF period”, Smackle finishes setting the magazine down.
“See the quiz was just dumb, now let's see all your toes”, Riley says smiling at the group. Maya holds up her foot, it’s perfectly painted in a deep red. They all nod and then Zay holds up his perfectly painted hot pink toenails. And everyone bursts out laughing. Farkle holds up his toes which are each a different color with flowers and hearts drawn on each one.
“Wow, Riles that really is amazing”, Maya says and they all agree, clapping.
“Now we braid hair since the boys can’t do this, you guys can sit here as I expertly braid Maya and Smackle’s hair”, Riley says clapping her hands excitedly.
When Cory and Topanga enter Riley’s room, they did not expect to see what they are seeing at all. Farkle and Lucas are laying on the floor, Lucas’s arms around Farkle. And in the bed, Smackle and Maya’s hair are both braided but end in one hair tie between the two girls’ heads. Which causes Smackle to be wrapped around Maya and Maya to be wrapped around Riley.
“Hey there”, Zay says as the pair look at him eating a bowl of cereal, sitting in the bay window. At the looks he continues, “No funny business went on as you can see, we came over wondering what to do at a sleepover. And then everybody fell asleep, except me I ate cereal”. Topanga whispers in Cory’s ear and walks away back to their room.
Cory and Topanga decide the boys need to go home but don’t want them to walk home in the middle of the night. So after waking up Lucas and Farkle, which made Farkle blush like a fire-hydrant, they all piled into the back of Mr. Matthew’s car. Farkle, being the smallest, was sat in the middle. He obviously was trying to sit as far away from Lucas as possible, sitting as close as he could to Zay. His head keeps bobbing as he starts to fall back to sleep.
Lucas looks over at his friend and sighs before wrapping an arm around the smaller boy’s shoulders. Farkle looks at the taller boy, stunned.
“It’s okay, buddy, I got you”, Lucas says reassuringly. Farkle looks timid as he lays his head on Lucas’s Shoulder. Soon he’s back to sleep, breathing even. Lucas’s other hand is sat on his own thigh, resting there, as he wonders if he should grab the other boy’s hand. He decides to just tap his fingers to a soft beat in his head. He makes sure to move his arm just so, every time they hit a bump, so Farkle never feels anything.
“By the way Mr. Matthews, you’re out of milk”, Zay says as they pull up to Farkle’s house.
Ship: Farkle and Lucas, not really full-on shipping. More like a cute friendship, pre-dating moment. *Shrugs*
Day 1: Holding hands.
Summary: Literally just this two being small beans and holding hands. And being awkward about it, but it’s cute and you should read it. *Nervous laughter*
The first time it happened was an accident. Farkle was walking away from the group. And Lucas reached out to grab his sleeve and pull him back but grabbed the small boys hand instead. Farkle looks back at the Texan, his face red.
None of the other four noticed as the two shared the interaction. Lucas was speechless, he only wanted to say goodbye to the other boy, before he went to his next class. Farkle, on the other hand, looked like he had something to say as he pulled his hand out of Lucas’s.
Farkle crossed his arms, clearly ready to start talking, before Smackle pops up between the two.
“Come on, honey, we have to go”, She says turning to Farkle. They start off down the hall, Smackle grabbing the boys hand. Farkle looks back at Lucas, with an expression of confusion. Before they leave Lucas’s sight of vision.
Lucas plans to apologize at the end of the day, he goes to Farkle’s locker. He leans against it, waiting for the brunette. But when Farkle gets there he doesn’t mention, so Lucas forgets about it.
Maya decided it would be a grand idea to go to a haunted house. So they went. When they were in line, everyone seemed excited. But as soon as they walked in and one of the clowns jumped out at the group. A small hand found Lucas’s in the dark and Lucas looked over at the other boy. He was clearly scared and Smackle was in front of him laughing. Lucas tried to smile reassuringly in the darkroom.
No one noticed again, this time because Maya was comforting a sobbing Riley. And Zay was trying to hide behind Smackle, why he was hiding behind the smallest one here no one will ever know.
By the time they got out, Riley was wrapped in Maya’s arms. Her head buried and hidden in the other’s jacket. Zay was trying to look like he wasn’t scared the whole time and Smackle was wiping tears of joy out of the corners of her eyes.
Farkle let go of Lucas’s hand as soon as they were out of the dark space. He wasn’t crying like Riley, but Lucas could tell he was obviously shaken. His face was bright red or was that from holding Lucas’s hand again. Lucas just laughs, putting an arm around the other boy's shoulders.
It wasn’t the first time they had held hands. And it also wouldn’t be the last.
After that, it was normal to see the two holding hands. They held hands as often as Riley and Maya did now. And more often than not, you would see Smackle holding Farkle’s other hand. And when Zay would pout about being left out, Riley would reach over and grab his hand.
