My husband is uniquely skilled in bed. And by that I mean I just discovered that he's been accidentally making the bed in his sleep.
I thought he was doing it on purpose so I asked him why he keeps putting my blanket on the floor when he makes the bed. Turns out he was both unaware that my blanket had been banished and that the bed had been made
Okay, sit with me here a moment. You know how some girls keep a spare ring in their pocket or on a finger so they can pop it on their ring finger when someone is making them uncomfortable in hopes that they’ll think they’re married and leave them alone?
So what if in late season spn Sam decided to basically have a spare ring to in vain keep the older women from making him uncomfortable and we find out as Dean does in the middle of a case when he slides it on & someone comments on it. Turns out he actually has an elaborate back story and photos ready to go as well and Dean is like, dude did you get fake married- *picks up photograph* to ROWENA?! And Sam sheepishly is like, yeah well I originally bounced the idea off of her and she made a few improvements. He excitedly explains that the ring is engraved with protection sigils and interlaced with various spells. Meanwhile Dean examines the picture closer and realizes they’re at a real Vegas chapel, did you get married FOR REAL?!
A few weeks later Dean has had enough time to process and have his brain fester. He busts Sam’s bedroom door open at 3am and immediately goes into, I can’t believe you’d do this to me. You made Crowley your step son! What does that make me in this situation? You know about the summer that must not be named. You knew!
That’s when we see Rowena sit up in bed. She’d been hidden behind Sam’s form. Her head cocks to the side, I’m sorry you and Fergus did what?
Dean immediately turns around and walks out of the bedroom, through the bunker, into the garage, and into the impala. He goes on a several day drive.

i think love is stored in nighttime conversations and “did you eat yet” and books left outside your door and “i waited to watch this with you” and splitting something in half to share and “im proud of you” and folded towels and “you can pick” and heads on shoulders and “you’re right, that was shitty. im sorry” and knocks on doors and “DINNER!” and stupid jokes and “hey i got this for you” and coffee made just right and… there are so many ways people say i love you silently every day over and over again if you only listen
steve joining one of hellfire's dnd campaigns but not as a player character, instead he roleplays a cursed amulet the party finds in an evil wizard's lair and he gets blanket discretion to sabotage whoever is holding/wearing the amulet, but THE PLAYERS DON'T KNOW THIS because obviously they'd just try to throw away or destroy it so steve sits next to eddie and pretends to read a book, occasionally leaning over to whisper "spider hallucination" when mike rolls a 3 on a perception check

eddie: you could roll an arcana check to find out.

One time, while at a pre-graduation party at my university, I corralled a group of friends into bringing this up in conversation. Mind you, we are all archaeologists, so it wasn't just a "hey wouldn't this be fucked up" deal. I knew this going in.
Over the course of two-ish hours, we walked around the party prompting our professors and peers into discussing Frantch. Answers ranged from "Why would there be ranch over France?" to "Is the ranch covering every surface of France or is it hovering over the country like a malevolent god?" to "I hate you for making me think about this. Where's the wine?"
It was concluded, academically, that Frantch would result not only in a total economic system collapse, but also disease, plagues, famines, droughts, and death (because the sun is being blocked by an impermeable layer of delicious salad dressing). Air traffic would halt, sunlight wouldn't exist for a large portion of the country 99% of the time, and the global temperature and weather patterns would shift drastically. We also agreed that religions would form around Frantch, whole new socioeconomic and mutual aid systems would form, and Frantch Tourism would skyrocket as a thrill-seeking activity, wherein adventurous persons would attempt to reach Frantch by climbing to it (akin to Everest).
Fantastic way to spend a few hours giving everyone within 10 feet of you a headache, highly recommend!
There's no way to word this in a way that isn't rude so im just gonna say it the rude way: I feel a lot of ttrpg players get very distracted by pretty artwork and don't actually look at the game part of the game they bought While I do think TTRPGs can be art, its actually possible for a game to serve as art/have pretty art and be a good game, You Will Die In This Place is meant to be the TTRPG equivalent of House of Leaves and its still a really fun and playable dungeon crawler underneath all of it

Ripley (my parrot) says "you're silly" a lot because I say it to him a lot. But he also participates in both sides of this exchange: "you're silly" "no YOU'RE silly" "we're silly." Lately he has just been cutting to the chase and thoughtfully remarking "we're silly" over breakfast.
i do love that you can name pets pretty much anything. with children you have to be reasonable but with pets you can just do anything. you can name your tortoise panopticon
