A quick reminder as much to myself as it is to anyone else. When you see headlines posted on a chain of text posts to actually read the article in question especially when the details can differ from the clickbait.

I think it can be way too easy to get swept up in sense of righteous confirmation bias that as long as a point broadly speaks to your own sensibilities and beliefs that you might be willing to overlook a lie if the ends justify the means. Unfortunately I just don't think that can be the case when it comes to sharing information.

Because truth either matters or it doesn't, and if it doesn't? Then why even bother arguing points to begin with.
