while investigating a handful of accounts that came up often in the wayback machine posts on ni1chts' account, i found ocbc:

it's essentially artfight but a bit more literal.. most of the competitions are to make comics where your ocs fight and defeat your competitor's ocs, and whoever has the best comic wins and moves onto the next round. if that makes sense lol. there were many prizes involved also!
it's not really clear whether or not choob is running this account, but im leaning toward no, especially in the later posts, bc he doesn't seem to interact with the account much directly, even if he ran the original competition.. also the typing style is different from his typical one and a lot more formal.. which could just be him being formal lol. i'll put it as a hard maybe.
ashley was definitely involved though!! much more than choob. as a result, i got a lot of good interactions between them through skimming through this account (still need to do a deep dive on this). and there's also this:
which is. nuts. she's usually depicted somewhat like this, often with sharp teeth too :3 you'll see me refer to these as judgesonas, which they use to promote the competition or, as you'll see, as characters within submissions.. looking forward to looking more into this account than i did, because there is so much choob...

this is a character she would cosplay a lot on her account, so it makes sense for her.. i wish we could see choob draw his own judgesona. but it doesn't exist afaik. ☹️

again, hard to tell if he's running the account.. if he was, it would be weird for him to reply from two different account, but also he's clarifying the comment from the ocbc account (i think the order of these is supposed to be the other way around, deviantart does weird things with chronological order) (also ignore my ctrl+f lol. i was going through these pretty quickly).. so idk. it would also not make sense for him to be scheduling in pst, and it wouldn't make sense for ashley to either, so maybe someone else is running it?
anyway, i'll put more stuff about this account in misc comments.. to fit my preexisting organization system that makes no sense lol
anyway.. i was able to find another awesome account!!! of choob's!!!! that he would use as an extra entry into the ocbc contests it seems?? this has some of my favorite stuff though :))

ghost is one of his ocs, which we will see lots of soon here :) a lot of his comics from ocbc and otherwise are preserved on this account, unlike the ones from niichts which i believe were deleted maybe before even before he blew up on youtube.. sad!

it's interesting how many alt accounts choob had.. like if he wanted to do an extra entry, why not just use the choob or lorddeme account? also the extra entries thing is really funny to me, there are a lot of things that should be against the rules in the ocbc contest that just aren't 😭 such as the judges being able to do submit to the competition, or ashley being able to judge choobs submissions.. naturally usually one of the judges would win or get very close to winning LOL
i also thought that this could be another choob account! but it turns out it's a webcomic by a different judge
im still going to try to look more into this account to see if choob collabed with them at some point, but it was deactivated so i'll only be able to go off of internet archive stuff
notably also!! jin commented on this account!! in 2009!! there are a few late jin with choob and the ocbc account that i'll put here later.. so at least we know they're still friends atp :(
