Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Everybody knows how it is to be in love. But everyone forgets that along with it comes pain afterwards.
But the real question is “How do you stay in love?”
Is it because every time you look in her eyes the whole world stops and everything is in slow motion?
A lot of you might wonder I am happily engaged and yes that is true but what is the basis why I have written something about this?
Let me start with, Once upon a time...
There was a boy and a girl who fell in love with each other. Everything seemed to go their way until all of a sudden the girl realized she doesn’t love the boy anymore. So the boy asked her, “Why?” the girl answered, “I just woke up wondering why I am here with you. I don’t think we are still working.”
Working? a relationship won’t work only if two parties don’t give enough TIME and EFFORT. Yes! Exactly, TIME AND EFFORT! They go along together.
Remember that cold night along the streets of your school, he brought you your favorite cup of cappuccino from your favorite coffee shop ‘coz you cannot make it to your date due to the heavy rain. Remember that time he surprised you with a trip to the spa because all you did was to blab about how your day was at work and that your boss is such a pain in the ass! Remember how he would drive you home safe every night even if he has deadlines at 6 in the morning! That my dear is time and effort.
Personal touch? Define personal touch. Is it the Sex? Or is it him being there for you all along. Him Hugging you and Kissing you to make you feel better.
Keep in mind dear lovers (and readers, if there is any...) that in a relationship, it takes two to tango. That APPRECIATION is also something our partners would want. That not all the time we girls are right because sometimes (and most of the times) we really are wrong.
I have learned that behind a successful marriage or relationship is a submissive wife or girlfriend. He is the ‘Haligi ng Tahanan’ the ‘Padre de Pamilya’ and if we relate it to the culture of the Filipino, they are our leader and we should be the one to support and follow them.
When I decided to submit to him, our relationship ran smoothly. It was so easy to talk to him and to even decide what we were going to do with all the wedding preparations.
So going back, how do we stay in love? We stay in love by choice. We choose to stay because we love that person and that will never change unless you decide to love him/her less or not anymore.
Believe in the power of love and that will make your relationship strong.
